Today we have part eighteen of the Kent Coast Walk!
On this walk we walk from Warden, along to the resort town of Leysdown on Sea, and to the secret beach just beyond Shellness!

Thanks so much for sharing this walk. Last time I was on Sheppey was in 1970 when I was a kid. Would love to return some day and do some of that walk. There used to be a little holiday camp with chalets where you climbed down the steps in Leysdown. I remember the beach just there, I won a sand castle competion just in that location.😊 happy days!. Sheppey is so diverse and underrated

Short Brothers were the first to be licenced to produce Wright Flyer aeroplanes. The planes were flown on the island, and many early RNAS pilots were trained there. Orville Wright came to the flying field and Muswell Manor.

Well done Sidders, Welcome back to Sunny Sheppey, Been waiting months for this video, Good to see you back on the Island, We live on the Island and you are doing all of our favourite walks (Except Minster Cliffs as us local know of many people have perished on the cliffs and the Lifeguard helicopter is the most regular visitor ) , I hope you covered Mums eye's up walking through the Naturist Beach, And hope you didn't take a sneak peak......? I will be interested to see where you go after Harty, As there is a bit of a gap in the coastal path , Keep the vids coming and keep your chin up with all this rubbish going on around us. Can't wait for the next one.

I think it's one of the most beautiful coastal areas of Kent, but yes indeed about the locals haha 🤣 I didn't put it in the video but... we witnessed a family with children get yelled and sworn at by a resident of Shellness for walking on the seawall around the outer side of the hamlet, wasn't pleasant to see Glad you enjoyed the area and thanks for watching again! 😁

Happy to hear it, I've been saving this one until the last possible moment. Thank you, I absolutely loved this stretch of the walk, it was very picturesque! This was the last walk I managed to film in the summer when it was relatively safe. I'll have to think of some creative ideas for February! 😅

Point of interest , it says in the pub Muswell manor which is next to the first flight statue is a sign saying. The saying and pigs might ,fly can from a pilot in this pub he could make a pig fly . The bet was made and the pilot took the pig up in a basket . You can check this out on line
