Well, they bought the house, and the railway was there first, so deal with it!

How do you complain over a train being idled? Ugh. Anyone who’s not a rail fan hates trains

Because the noise is disturbing to daily life? Conversing, watching tv, trying to concentrate, sleep...not sure why you don't understand how that would be a nuisance

Well, yeah.. it's a siding that he lives by so it's not surprising. If you move somewhere near tracks and don't want to hear idling constantly, you should know that 2 tracks often mean a siding and just 1 is a mainline.

2 tracks can also be mainline btw

No wonder the trains are sitting there, it is a major control point looking at the signals. It could also be that that train was tied down over in the storage tracks, this is what I think.

0:47 hmmm that looks like a Signal bridge Red = train stop = idling

If you're going to live next to RR's make sure it's one track, just a main line. Two tracks means one's going to stop there & wait all the time.

@@_n8787 that was me but it wasn’t so close so there was the neighborhood then this lake then it was a wall then the train tracks so it wasn’t that bad

I’d pay a certain price to live near a railroad. You couldn’t ever pay me to live near even a moderately busy road.

The RR pays off the government to get away with stuff like this, goes back to the 19th century when the RR actually mattered.
@Jay_Force_One

What are you even talking about? This has nothing to do with the government. The train companies don’t want their trains just sitting around….that’s a waste of money. They just have to sometimes. Boomer was wack.

@@Jay_Force_One Not a boomer skippy. I can't tell by all the junk they leave sitting around in one spot idling for days at a time belching black smoke.

Yes and the railroad most likely owned the property a long time back in the 1800s before selling it so it can be used for who knows what
