1:46 A part of enjoying and evaluating whisky is looking at the color and the legs. And opaque glasses make it impossible to see those characteristics. 4:33 Trenton's worried that it's two blinds again. 😂 12:19 I get the cold sweats about the dentist too. As excruciating as a toothache is, I'll endure it rather than go to the dentist. I ❤ Laphroaig 10, though I've only had the regular release. 24:14 I've only had the regular and the Cask Strength Sagamore, but I don't think they could make bad whisky if they tried.

I'm going to cheat and go with a sherry-aged whiskey rather than a sherry finish. My favorite is a lowland Scotch: Bladnoch 14. It's a special pour for me -- crazy good stuff. In the realm of bourbon and rye, my favorite sherry finish has to be the Sagamore sherry-finished rye. It's awesome! 👍

Love the banter, great blind Kent. Here’s an idea, do a kavalan whiskey blind as a surprise. Their whiskeys have significant variation, but warning they all need to breath for 30 minutes.

VDN is Vino De Naranja. Orange wine from Spain. Penelope Valencia is a VDN finish.

I've been drinking still austin cask strength rye 116 proof it is so good and has a lot of different tasting notes this is by far the best rye if ever had so far and will definitely get this again.

Trenton is missing a whole world of whiskey with his dislike of Scotch or peated whiskey in general. One of the most unique things I've ever had was Balcones 1 Peated Texas Single Malt. And that Sherry Oak Finish is fucking fantastic!

Brother man, you're not kidding on the Balcones. I've got a bottle of their peated single malt at 62.9% abv and it's hands down one of the best bottles in my collection. Every bit as good as any of the peated Islay releases I've tried, but different.

I also have phobia of dentistry and teeth problems/history to the point of cold sweats. It's pretty common, and I think it makes sense, evolutionarily. Dying of the teeth was common for most of our species history.
