The fact that intentional fouling is an integral aspect of strategy in basketball, disqualifies it as a top tier sport. Insitute a 4 or point line if you want to allow for late game comebacks. Make 2 point fouls worth 3 shots, 4 shots for 3 pointers. Then cut back on ticky tack foul calls. Would be a much more watchable sport and eliminate free throw fests at end of game.

This might be the single worst mistake ever made by a college basketball player. Sure, you have Chris Webber's timeout fiasco, but Michigan wasn't in the lead when that happened. This will haunt Julius Rollins for the rest of his life.

I’m not familiar with college bball rules but why do the players go for the rebound after the first free throw? Doesn’t he get 2 free throws or does he have to make the first in order to get a second free throw?
@zach14m10 ай бұрын
Called a 1 and 1 if later in the half due to number of team fouls, a player has to make 1st to get a 2nd. Unless it's a shooting foul, which is auto 2 shots.

Can someone explain to me why they're aiming to get the rebound on the first free throw attempt at @1:19 ?
@user-ed1yx2fq7l10 ай бұрын
In college basketball a foul isn’t 2 free throws. It’s something called a 1 and 1. You make the first, you get a second free throw. You miss the first, it’s a live ball.

God bless this young man’s mind and mental stability so that he bounces back from this and does not let this be the source of a lifelong battle w/ depression that can lead to even worse things.

This reminds me of Darius Washington, missing two of the three free throws with no time left in the conference USA championship game in 2005. It was the only way Memphis was going to the NCAA tournament. Obviously not the same exact situation, but it just reminded me of it.
