Andy, after watching your adventures I decided to do this route a few weeks back. Unfortunately didn't have the same weather you had a few years ago. I got to the same spring but unfortunately it was dry so had to use a pool for a water source. The wall next to Thornwaite Cragg next to the Tower provided a great shelter for a wild windy wet night. Very enjoyable route and wild camp even in testing conditions. Been watching your adventures for sometime time now keep them coming.

Quality walk in and your brothers tent looked canny mind. Brilliant to watch the sun set and if you want a good nights sleep to complete the rest of the walk, good idea to leave the alarm off. Perfect weather for a great couple of days away, cheers Alan

Cheers Alan & ayy they're a good tent,might borrow it a bit more often lol..always good to get the sunsets & sunrises but on lengthy walks I have to stop myself getting up at sunrise sometimes,a good lay in is a necessity sometimes on camps.tfw mate.Andy.

Really enjoyed that Andy. It looks an awesome walk. I haven't seen much of that part of the lakes other than my camp at Blea water, taking in high st and small water on a circular. I do like that tent...if only I needed yet another 😂 . 10 wainrights is a decent tally in a one-er. You'll be chuffed with that. Looking forward to catching some of that weather on the next trip. Catch you soon mate

Lovely area of the Lakes Andy, only familiar with High Street on that side and i was up there in bad weather a few years back, so great to see it at it's best. Fantastic camera work as always mate, some great shots of the sun going down and of course those astro shots..stunning. Cheers mate.

Hi Jim..yes it's a stunning part of the lakes..well it's all stunning in my eyes really but that particular route is a cracking one although quite tough going doing 10 summits.really do like to take advantage of the clear nights & although it doesn't get that dark really at this time of year there's still good opportunity for good astro stuff.tfw mate as always..Andy.

Hello Andrew. Cracking video. Monster walk. Lucky with the weather! 10 Wainrights, very good, can't be many left! I went up on Derwent Edge yesterday, didn't get quite as far along as you did the other day. Saw a mountain hare, only a small amount of white hair, but great to see. Keep them coming. Regards Robert.

Hi Robert yes a big walk but so rewarding & with the weather too i couldn't have wished for better.love derwent edge & there is quite a lot of hare up there,they will be losing their winter coats by now & at this time of year they will be harder to spot.tfw .Andy.

Hi Andy , really enjoy watching your vids, choice of music and cinematography are excellent or at least right down my street. The moving lens flare about 14min 20s is ace. Found the links to the viewranger maps really interesting and useful as well - they will help inform some of my future walks (just hope to get similar weather). ATB Phil

@AndrewBeavers 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Phil..thanks very much it's much appreciated..the lense flair isn't something i plan on but usually pointing the camera straight at the sun you will get some lense flair..it's something i may add in future certainly on longer hikes & circular routes putting the viewranger route links in as it's something i get asked on a regular basis the routes i take etc.tfw mate..Andy.

Superb Andy. as always!!!! Amazing conditions. Particularly that sunset. My week off this next week and the forecast is grim and I’m full of flu... typical 😂 desperate to get out... been weeks now. Going stir crazy. Just watching a few vids keep me sane... I’ve been looking at those Nordisk tents for coast to coast this summer. I’ll probably stick with the Akto though. Got my pack-weight down to about 8kg with all my food and clothes so not too bad. Haven’t seen that alpkit tent. Might have a look. Great vid as always pal 👏🏻👍🏼 ATB

@@AmblingMan Hi Andrew you're right mate it is in feet lol..got me thinking have I got that right & I hadn't,got me wires crossed as I usually go by metres & miles but viewranger records in either miles/feet or kilometres/metres depending on what you set it at.so preferring to know in Miles's the distance I walk I presumed it was in metres too 🙄 it's actually somet like 1300 in metres.thanks for highlighting that pal & again TFW..Andy.
