thing about this style is that the tricks may be "easier" or the types that you learn when first learning how to skate...but whats amazing is that you can increase the difficulty of them by stringing them into combos and opens up an entirely new perspective on what is a spot. GOOOOD STUFF!!!!

James D hmmm maybe not man. This type of skating is actually super hard because few skaters still use old school stuff like that. One footed stair wallrides I’ve only seen like 2 times over several years of religious thrasher subscription. Everyone’s got a knack for a certain style. You wouldn’t see Tiago skate like Gou Myiagi for instance. But both these guys are beasts.

@lsrpjune35004 жыл бұрын
bugsta2012 simple as this, maybe the older Japanese skaters had a interest in mike but honestly, the newer Japanese skaters I don’t think are too focused on American skaters. They’re probably going to win the olympics too. Not even half the kids I know who skate nowadays can even recall who mike v is: teenagers who grew up in America watching American skate videos etc. let alone a younger person from a country who has developed their own insane skate culture since the 80s and 90s .

Seems like a lot of Japanese skaters like to do all of the tricks that pros in other parts of the world don't bother with or don't consider "real" tricks (whatever that means). All a matter of preference but I'm glad there are at least people out there who show love to this style. It's definitely refreshing to see.
