It's beyond me how people have the audacity to put a thumbs down to these amazing videos. Andy is showing us how to survive in the wilderness, with minimal amount of modern conveniences. He has a great smile, and has a great knowledge of bushcraft, and delish cooking skills. What's not to like, as secretly we'd all love to do what he does.

Spice mix: Joe Robinet goes with 'Montreal Rub.' Yours is your own so go with it! Plenty of your fans would love it. Very Interesting introduction to a new stove system. I like your priorities here: a fine tarp roof and a promising look at a 'stove jack' to pass the heat outward. A heat source can make up for many gaps in the walls. I spent a good bit of my youth in the woods 'minding the gaps.' Heat is better than no heat; close heat is better than distant heat. Camp wood burners are such a blessing on a cold winter's night. Just when I think I have seen your 'best ' I watch a few more minutes and, in this video, I see 'Better!' Always inspirational to see you out of doors. Thanks, my KZbin friend!

I think Carlisle195 dug down and mixed some clay with bits n bobs of dried grass leaves and all. He used the moss to lay on top of his roof after laying thin branches to secure it on. It looked lovely after a year. Bright green it looked great. There were ferns with grass growing on top so it melded into the woodland. Really enjoyed watching you potter about. : )

Awesome video Andy, the shelter is really looking great especially with the moss covering to fill the gaps. The indoor stove and chimney give you some extra heat at night and easy to light in the morning. You must eat more food at night and drink more hot liquids or you will feel hungry. Until the next one. Regards Martin

First off, loving the new shelter. Always a lot of the standard lean-to shelters on here so nice to see something a little different. Excited to see how it's going to develop. Next, Having moved down here from Wales to Folkestone only a few years now (Feels like longer. lol) I've been a bit blind for places to sneaky overnight, then found your channel within the last year.....Opened my eyes Sir! Had a few great nights with many more on my wishlist for this year.....and local too. And lastly, Spice Rub!!! As an ex butcher, I do love my meat, and a night out with a camp fire wouldn't be complete without a little something on the grill. So YES PLEASE!!! ...Love what you do and can't wait for the next one. Oh! And really liking the hoodie. Picked up a black one with white logo a couple of months back. Excellent quality. Definitely kept the chill off this winter on the coast, and the extra length! Perfect for the larger fellow like me. :) Great job Sir.

A BIC or any other sort of lighter is in no way cheating. I have a BIC in every jacket pocket, in my BOB, in my EDC and in my boot crate in the car. Its all fine and dandy being Mr Macho with the usual bushcraft fire lighting rod and striker, but I would rather use a lighter in the knowledge that I am more likely to get a fire going than keep striking and striking until I get a fire going. Great video and I shall follow for the future.
