That drink has almost no mint in it, and the cup has no beaded sweat from the ice. That cup is hot and will melt that ice in no time flat. He didn't express the mint in any way, so it is just garnish. This may possibly be the worst mint julep I've ever seen.

I was hoping to learn some vital secret for upping my Mint Julep game. If anyone would know, it’s these people, right? I’m not sure that occurred. Although I am intrigued by the idea of making a minty syrup, because that would solve some problems.
