Why is that hospital official who threatened them to go ahead with the organ retrieval not arrested???!!!
@susanoshaughnessy9432 ай бұрын
It’s the donor organization, not the hospital. Hospitals are required by law to cooperate with organ procurement organizations. If they don’t, they can be sanctioned and Medicaid/Medicare funds are withheld. In some states OPOs have lobbied to have donation made an advance directive- even though there’s little information/no informed consent when prospective donors sign up. This leaves family with no say. They can’t object to donation.

Dr's are immune to prosecution except on very rare occasion. If you recall dr. Hussel they had an entire playboy on how to put everyone against 1 amazing dr for end of life care (to cover the hospital's incredible overprescribing and many other accusations ). Just like police, blueline gang, nobody speaks out, everyone sticks together except when they have a common target.... for the greater good or whatever.

This also made me cringe at the thought of ever needing to be at the receiving end of a donation because you may not really know what you are getting if the family didn't know the full history or if there was an undiagnosed, undetected infection in the donor.

Then they see him waking up at the honor walk, if his family noticed him tracking the room and registering what was going on guaranteed the drs and nurses noticed to…but they marched right on anyway fully intent on KILLING this man. It’s only when he starts physically fighting for his life that some of them step back and go…mmm maybe not. The actual hell? What if the signs of life were more subtle? Same here. I'm Jewish and it's against my religion, but even if I weren't, watching this video put me off forever.

there was astory of a nurse that could hear the doctors saying she was dead..and trying to get the family to let them harvest her organs. She wasn't able at that time to move..however later she was able to. And she lived to tell about it.
@fashiondiva69722 ай бұрын
This had nothing to do with “honoring a patient’s wishes about organ donation.” You need to actually reach that point medically first and that’s the problem. There’s a massive systemic incentive to reach that goal, leading to death declarations for living patients so organs can be harvested. So many facilities and their transplant coordinators place relentless pressure on the next of kin to give final permission that it crosses the bioethics line a hundredfold. When you’re programmed to see dead patients and see them only for their many organs, you’re going to see brain dead patients regardless what your eyes, common sense and medical training say to the contrary; it’s the same as going through life as a hammer. When you do, everyone looks like a nail.

I’m a retired RN. I am not an organ donor! I worked for almost 46 years! I have heard the horror stories.

This needs to go national..and I would say major reform needs to be done across this country too
@catherinebourdon82582 ай бұрын
Incentives are critically important. I've often wondered who benefits from this harvesting process, beyond the often nobly stated "patients in need". Who else? And how well? Without proper oversight and transparency, it's inevitable that lives will be lost because of corrupt motives.

This is just sad… ladies and gentlemen do NOT put yourself on the organ donor list, there are far too many risks (companies unscrupulously turning healthcare into a business, hospitals wanting to save money or make money or empty a bed - so there is a conflict of interest, doctors being fallible humans - how many times have they declared someone unresponsive or brain dead and the person woke up later? The truth is that science and medicine are still very limited in their knowledge of the brain).

Organs removed and waking up?

@@danmilosevichhappened to a Russian girl (child) who was traveling with her parents in Turkey. They did a surgery. Removed some organs. She woke up from surgery and told her parents she really wasn't feeling well. Then died within a few hours I believe

@@malovina in cold storage? Did they say what organs? Hard to live without organs. I mean like someone said they woke up and found out they had no heart. Heart comes out, you die. Kidneys you die. Liver youu die. Most are stories, nothing more. Most. Waking up in cold storage?

check your status in your state! We checked both states we have lived in and one state had us listed as organ donors!. LOG IN with your driver license and check! How dare they add this to a license without consent. Are they getting bonuses for sign ups?

I’m surprised they admitted it. They don’t put them under. But they do give them a paralytic. The term “brain dead “ was created for organ donation. Which makes them a great deal of money. Millions.

Wow, just wow! This story is a real life horror movie!! It's just as bad as the stories you hear about people traveling abroad and ending up in a seedy motel bleeding out from their organs being stolen! The terrible administrators were so hungry to do the harvesting because the lists for organs are so long, but didn't take care with the potential donor. Very sad and scary as hell indeed! 😱

It's not organ donation that is bad, it's incompetent doctor and nurses that don't want to be wrong once they make a diagnosis. Life is more powerful and knowing than having a medical degree on a wall.
