This video is right on! Just what I need to watch. It is good that you and your wife can work and be together too. My wife and I have a good life together, I had a masonry business and she took care of the books and taxes. I am 71 years old and have some problems with my health, we used to sing and minister @ nursing homes we sang and I read the word. I am really into learning about making Arrowheads. Thanks for making it happen through video.

Those thicker chunky rocks rule the day for target shooting. The conversation concerning the Clovis flute goes along that oscillating spear analogy. Strong belief that the flute was simple combination of flute and shaft to strengthen the impact force. The concept of break one arrow in half now try two. I often think the Clovis may have been hafted with bone. Needless to say I would suggest that many points contact ribs creating glancing penetration. The Clovis flute allows for a little more bone thickness for shaft because bone needs some thickness for the desired strength. Just an opinion. Oh love that dalton fish tail they penetrate well. Great point

A DALTON made from black Hornstone. I tried to find a knapper to make one of of any kind of back rock 20+ years ago but got no takers. My knapping skills improved so I eventually was able to make one myself but it is highly doubtful that the old timers ever made one from Dacite. Yours looks really nice Brian.

I made the same open request to have a Dalton made from black stone, but got no takers. I have made a Dalton myself but not from Dacite. Serrated Daltons require higher quality rock material.

Im a noon flint knapper, but an expert spall and biface snapper! Nobody does it better! Ive probably broke 30-40 spalls and bifaces and made one good notched point out of one of the broken tips of bifaces. If anyone out there needs their bifaces snapped send them to me. I will snap them free of charge!

I think everyone should learn abo first. It's kinda like learning to play an acoustic guitar first - strings are stiffer and it's a little more bulky - but if you can play the acoustic you'll find electric to be a breeze.

Better off making your own there are tons of videos around on how to do it. You just need rudimentary supplies. Look up paleomanjim or jackcrafty and they both have videos on how they make their tools.
