I know it was against South Carolina, but I was really happy with the intensity we played with defensively today. We haven't had that intensity on either end of the floor lately. Really proud of our team today! Go Cats! ❤

Now if they only keep that intensity up against their next 4 opponents and if butler can get to 100% and I hope and pray Robinson isn't hurt hurt hopefully a night and full day off and it'll be normal going into their next game

Idk if I'm the only one but I from what I've seen from Kobe Brea, I don't understand why he hasn't ran point some whole Butler was out. Dude is the best passer at the guard position on the team. Dude has had some really nasty no look dimes this year. Also some crucial passes in the wins vs Duke and Gonzaga as well. Brandon Garrison I hope stays because I think he is going to explode next season, dude has all the potential in the world, just needs to mature a bit.

@@fittymoose he could still run point on offense, doesn't mean he has to guard point on defense. Plus him being such a threat to shoot the rock, he could be dangerous. I remember Kellen Grady ran point for UK in one game a couple years ago vs Alabama and the offense looked 5 times better. And Kobe brea is basically another Kellen Grady in a way IMO. Idk, dude was playing great yesterday

South Carolina is 0-10 in the SEC. (The worst}. This was an expected win for UK even though their defense is ranked 109th in the league.

The thing to take away from this is KY won the way they should against SC. Had this been a 68-61 type of win then that would be pretty alarming. Having Butler and Carr back on the floor makes a huge difference, even though both are less than 100%. Jaxon is banged up as well. The key for this team is getting healthy for March. If they can go into the post season mostly healthy, I like their chances regardless of seeding.

BG gotta stop with the Technical fouls man. I’m happy you finally had a good game but you a D1 athlete at the best school in the country. Celebrate when you make a good play but don’t overreact when you do something right. I mean it’s ridiculous because you don’t get in the double digits at anything most games. Wish you finally help the team don’t do something to to hurt it

@@johnnystivers6788 You would think he'd know that rule with the handgun fingers gesture getting you a technical foul at this point in the season. I hope someone explains to him what he did wrong to get the technical foul. If that game had been close, it could have cost us the game. I'm happy we won though and outside of that moment Garrison did play well. He just needs to mature.

@ yeah he did play well but this isn’t the first time he’s gotten a T. I think it was the Georgia game we were down by 14 cut it to 7 after he dunked a wide open shot and got a T and that stopped the run. He either needs to get better on the boards and beer decision maker by next season because as of right now he’s not a starting Center in the SEC. I like that he can hit a 3 every once in a while but the drop off from Amari to him is crazy his plus minus isn’t very good at all. I mean if we didn’t have Amari and we had Malachi this year I think Malachi would start. One rebound in 21 minutes is terrible. He should be more physical at his size. As of right now I want to get a transfer for next season to start in front of Malachi I mean he could definitely make a huge jump from this season to next but idk if I want to risk that

@ yeah that’s my point . Get rid of BG and get a physical big with experience to play in front of him. BG might hit a 3 once every 4 games but he gets bullied every single game and he makes dumb mistakes every single game. People are high on him now because he hit a 3 and he blocked a couple shots. But 1 rebound in 21 minutes is terrible. He ran the floor well today and he got some wide open dunks and he hit a 3 but I still doing trust him. Malachi is small and needs to put in muscle but he would get more than 1 rebound in 21 minutes if he played yesterday just because his motor. BG is not a starting big in the SEC. In most games he shouldn’t be a back up big. The defense and rebounding just isn’t there and a lot of that is effort. Much rather get a wide bodied big who takes up space rebounds very well and who might actually have a post move or 2. Again I’m happy BG played well but I still want to hit the portal next season and tell BG his times up
