Mark Rober made the one that was a rocket golf club, and I did a thing made a pool stick that also used a blank. Glad to see someone made the concept and took it to market - however impractical XD

They're not .50 cal blanks, they're .24 cal blanks. They just use 4 of them at a time. Square root of .24 is like .49 which is close enough.

No idea what is available in the US but here in the UK .25 blanks are used in nail guns and come in various powers with Black, green yellow and red, It would be interesting to try out the various strength blanks. This also got me wondering what would happen if golf balls were shot from something with a bit more power, like a 4 bore or 12 G blank etc.

Have one at the mill I work at. It's an 8 gauge shell that fires compressed led powder, so when it hits its target it just turns back to dust and is burnt in the kiln. It's kinda fun to run it whenever I do maintenance on it.
