Why Kevin Russell's Shinyribs is not a nationally famous and roundly loved music enterprise is a huge mystery. Their live performances are absolutely stupendous. (I dedicate this post to Rick Heysquierdo of The Lone Star Jukebox, who appropriately championed Shinyribs on KPFT every chance he got.) (Another Russell in the mix who hasn't gotten the national recognition he warrants is Shake.)

BRAVO Kevin! awesome rendition! Elvis and Mr Bowie would be proud. How can anyone love rock & roll or the blues and not have an appreciation for Elvis? My Ex grew up in Memphis and her home butted up to Graceland. She would watch Elvis and Priscilla ride horses from her 2nd story bedroom, pretty cool.
