Since both towers can be stunned now, it can really hinder their dmg, even so. Ranger can’t really be viable with tough crowds like a horde of breakers on wave 33 on fallen, because of its slow firerate, sire breakers also struggling but it can almost stay consistent Ps. Ranger could be stunned during the act 2 release of Lunar Overtune, fixed now

Nice video, idk how u get it so visually stunning. I feel dps isn't the right metric for tower comparison, something like total damage would probably be more spot on, tho it can be tricky to define. obv can try dps times s but a little hard to calculate s, though knowing the total time of the wave does help and maybe just have it on the final boss because thats very simple to understand.

Definitely scout because of its cheap price and hidden detection can make it decent as an early game tower, painballer is kinda just there ignoring the hidden enemies and doesn’t do well in the long run.

ranger's range buff actually nerfs towers in the long run. You're normalizing the 50% range, which only lasts 20 seconds. So don't be surprised if some towers can't hit enemies later on. Lemme break things down. 6 reworked rangers at maximum DPS deal the same DPS as 10 "classic" rangers. However, 6 reworked rangers at minimum DPS deal 200 DPS less than 10 classic rangers. As we discussed, the range buff can actually be more of a hinderance than a help. Furthermore, adding more range to ranger doesn't buff it, because classic ranger already had a huge range. And if you think it's gonna be used in the event, think again. Act 1 only had hidden enemies, the map was small so most of the range would go to waste, & in general, there were more hordes than bosses. Act 2's early game could be cheesed by g soldier, and in my case, the witches were dealt with via mortars, leaving me & my teammate to just spam the most cost-efficient stuff we had.

I'd say ranger is better for late game because you actually might lose with just somehting like accelerator and a crowd control for the other enemies, unlike ranger that even if it take long to kill something like the fallen king its still EXTREMLY more reliable

Since accel is super good for speedruns, mid tame, and late game, its much better for ranger, however ranger is much better for bosses like jack o bot, void reaver, lord exo, etc. as well as having flying detection, its super good for strong waves

Ok so with accelerator there’s one problem: when it usually attacks there’s a chance it will attack strong enemy and let seals to the base meaning that it’s not that reliable like ranger. Also accel relies on commanders

accel doesn't rely on commander. u can win without it. ranger relies way more on commander. struggles with hordes aswell. the situation u described usually can be solved with the accel simply killing the tanky enemy then targetting the leaks or simply bringing a early game tower that can translate into late game. accel only takes 2 seconds to charge also: h i d d e n. d e t e c t i o n.

Accel is not good for quick runs btw. Very wrong to say that. His recharge time is wasting u a bunch of time,if u ACTUALLY did speedruns u would know,theres not a single speedrun with accel besides the old quickdraw. Golden mini,turret and ranger are used for speedruns,not accel. Ure comparing rough dps most of the time. Accel burst dmg is much lower than a rangers burst dmg. Ranger doesnt get stunned 99% of the time. Accel SUCKS vs fast enemies,u can die while hes recharging (u completely missed that fact). Also accel locks into an enemy,and doesnt change target unless the enemy is dead. Means another enemy can just run by and kill u cuz ur accels are targeting a Warden or some beefy mini-boss while speedy enemies are zipping nearby. Combined with the fact that ranger can shoot the ENTIRE map and u dont ever need to move him.... cuz yes u must move accels sometimes if ur dps is not enough to kill a serious boss (yeah not talking about Fallen King) If u ask me,the new ranger buff makes him just as good as accel,just in a much different way. Accels is fast shooting tower,with bad aim and long target lock. Ranger has infinite range,always targets the first enemy. Cant see invisible. But also cant get stunned. The towers are super different and can not be compared,but do not say ranger is worse than accel. Cuz its not. They are the same power lvl.

U tested on Molten mode. The boss dies too fast,before it gets out of range of most accelerators :)))) Take accel and ranger and test them in FALLEN mode then show the results ;) It will not be 14% more dps for accel trust me ;) Its gonna be pretty close and ranger might even win

It also proves once again that dps and actual results are not the same thing. Accel is 56% stronger according to ur calculations,but in the actual game he was only 14% stronger,and thats not even close to 56% ... and that was a MOLTEN boss that has no time to get out of accel range :)))) Vs Fallen king their results are the same. In HC mode ,ranger dmg output is much higher than accel.
