It comes with a USB extension cable that you plug into the back!

Not with a volume knob no. Unfortunately, radio's must have a 7" screen to be compatible with AA, and pretty much all 7" radios don't have volume knobs

I am new to car audio. How does a custom security code foil would be car stereo thieves? I am used to the front face coming off.

Well I mean it they could take it but not access it so obviously it wouldn't prevent them stealing it. Unfortunately, less than half double din radios on the market have detachable faceplates. Most single dins do. So this radio's only security measure is a passcode.
