I just bought a 2001 Boxster and a previous owner had installed this in place of the factory stereo system. However, I still have the Porsche CDC-3 CD changer in the frunk (front trunk). can I hook the changer to this unit?

Hi I just bought this unit Saturday my question is every some often I here a beeping noise coming from radio only when plugged up in my phone for apple car play! How do u turn that alert off?

the 893 has a camera button on the front of unit so you can go right to the front camera. I didn't see one on the 693 does it have a button that takes you right to the camera?

can i use a ISimple MediaLinks plugged into the aux on this head unit to cast from my phone to the headrest monitors? this is the head unit i bought. is the aux the ipod av-in on the back? do you have the medialinx part number?

I get a lot of floor noise when I installed this radio, is that part of the head unit or did i screw up on installation?

USB, it is an iPhone thing. It should only on Apple Music

What wires did u use to power it on?i connected yellow and red to pos on my batt and neg to neg on batt and NOTHING...im trying to test it before i rip my current radio out..also where no fuses?

@@FiveStarCarStereoInc yep thanks brother..so 2 issues those wires all connected...i have not yet installed my back up camera nor do i have the gps antenna cord etc..im like a moderate decent at installing systems..so i cannot get the Bluetooth to pair with my phone nor when i play the dvd i only get sound no pic and it says parking break..as i do have a rearview camera again ive yet to connect fully to harness and no still no dvd screen playing and no bluetooth pairing..i have no extra plugs in the back connected..just the stock antenna and remote power speakers etc..any help would be appreciated thanks..i know i upgraded but im stuck

Not to sound stupid,but that message that pops up everytime would drive me nuts.Since this video is about 8 months do you know if kenwood makes one like this now that you do not have to turn the message off everyitime yet.

corvette7444 next years radios will have a one and done feature. They will not make it backwards compatible though.

I was looking on ebay and there was an ad that said TV on the description but nothing on kenwood website, can i watch tv with this stereo if yes what's needed? and how to tell which stereos will let me watch tv thanks.

I bought this dnx693s and coonect my ipod in the 1st usb of iphone /ipod and plays a song but when i try to change a song like from a diffrent artist or genre it come out on the right i believe its called the content list and wont play even after clicking on the song in the content list???? Can anyone help

I know you said don't ask (about disabling at least), but am I correct in that every aftermarket headunit with GPS will have one of those health and safety warnings that you need to acknowledge at startup? I think I've read elsewhere that if you were to shift into reverse prior to closing the message it will hide the message and show your camera image so you can reverse, then pop the message back up when you shift back out of reverse - is that the case on the DNX693s? Thanks!

Matt Turner the reverse thing is correct, it will go away and come back. The Pioneer NEX radios "ok" screen auto goes away after 7 seconds.

Francisco Gonzalez no you need the antenna, in most cars you can mount it under the dash plastic.

With NAV on and music playing. How do I get the NAV to lower/mute the music when giving turn by turn directions? Currently, the system doesn't auto low/mute even with the NAV mute option on.

6:35 Android Auto requires larger screen? Models with 7" screen has same 800x480 resolution.

js290 yes the 7" issue is something Android is firm about. They are both 800 by 480, but the smaller resistive screens have fewer points of touch compared to the 7"( I know it's only a 1/2 inch, sad) At first Android was only going to let capacitive touch screens have AA but changed because there are so few. Rumors is they are working on a version for the smaller screens, we can only wait and see.

there is no counter right? I got this model.. and I have absolutely no idea where in a song I am. this is the only car sterio ive ever seen where I cant see.a timer to scan 5 mins into a song.. or.podcast.. thats kind of important to me.. unless I missed the counter somehow???

R0tten there is no monthly fee for gps. Garmin does charge for updates.

R0tten get a radio with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The built in gps is great for long drives. Highways very rarely change, so the built in maps rarely needs updates. Use your phone for local drivers.
