I read somewhere that there is a menu that can be displayed on a TV via composite video. I really need to investigate this.

@@RodknockRhett If you can find the Manual book, for sure it will be in there, I did not know that too

Just picked up a minty 126r yesterday and I noticed there is a little glow/ghosting around the the edges of the display. I see it on yours too. I am thinking the lens or whatever is behind the front glass needs to be cleaned on the inside. Have you tried taking yours apart to clean it?

I have not. This is mostly just an affect due to the color and shear complexity of the VFL display. I believe it is normal as pretty much all my gear with a VFL display has a glow of some sort. Some more noticeable then others as colors and complexity vary. Enjoy your Kenwood.. I can safely call these beasts some of the best receivers from the 80s digital era. Love both my V106R and V126R. Neutral sound with pure clean power.

@@highfidelitysoundhaven78 i 1000% agree. Vastly underappreciated and undervalued. At 125wpc, it can easily hang with the high dollar monster receivers of the late 70s

necesito un diagrama para un kenwood KR-V127, la tecla " muting bloquea el sonido

No necesita diagrama, esa falla se debe de reparar, cambiando el microswitch, pero de preferencia, lo debe de hacer un técnico profesional.

If you haven’t yet tried, try pushing the button as quick as your finger can move repeatedly. This clears the contacts on the button of any interference. Otherwise, the button itself has failed. There should be plenty of service manuals out there. They don’t absolutely have to be for the big beast in the series like your KR v127r unless you’re repairing something within the amp or power supply section. In your case, you’re repairing one of the front face buttons. You’ll probably run into a bad solder joint on the board. You might also be able to replace the board. Here’s a service manual of your receiver’s little brother, the Kenwood KR v86r. www.ebay.com/itm/Kenwood-KR-V86R-service-manual-original-repair-book-stereo-receiver-tuner-radio/123702787225?hash=item1ccd42bc99:g:3~cAAOSwh2RZ8oHZ&amdata=enc:AQAHAAAAsPq6VsMzKln4r6z4I8D7zSja6n1hTIHE7EvNLRh6YPSpNDgjqj51+GZbUuW2WIsW2BFnqPaRdsjb6/XLHdD/T5ERWCfTUDdiOL0AS7quNztoRwszZYKpc4MTiTbdPqbVTi0uWSDSiGwg/Fsd8NbFIu4dc5Whg7DhOuHmupfOUTPmtmePXaXaYMasQc6F/kshNS7r/5S+zrjLpJrbzqro1vi+DKLBkflrUyv6HWX17etY%7Ctkp:Bk9SR9aAj-iEYQ&pageci=a6dfdd85-d891-479d-96b5-350e97fcbf78&redirect=mobile&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5338625995&customid=Highfidelity&toolid=10001&mkevt=1

Try turning it up and lightly slapping it on the top of the face, not the case, as that'll just dampen the vibration. The protection relays like to stick. My V106R did this a number of times. My V126R did this once. Usually in the right channel, but both can stick. Turning up the volume almost always unsticks them. Slapping the top of the face helps. Just make sure the volume is at a moderately loud volume when you do (at least 50% of the power indicator or more, the better, if your speakers can handle it). Highly recommend taking it into a good, reputable vintage audio shop as this will usually keep happening. Trust me, turning the volume this loud and having it spring to life making you jump, is not fun.
