Kenya Kariobangi Fundraiser

Light of Love Ministry is raising funds for Kenya Kariobangi Children’s Home Rebuild! With the excessive flooding of 2024, the government came through the Mathare Slums and tore down any building within 30 m of the river. Even though the Kariobangi children’s home is on private land, the government tore down the boys home, girls home, kitchen, and outdoor bathrooms. Currently there are 32 kids living in the care of this children’s home. Right now the children are living on the school and church floors in temporary housing until a new building can be rebuilt for them.
The Mathare community outreach is working with an architect to draw up a four-story building that will include a boys floor, girls, floor, the Kariobangi caregivers room and a floor for training and learning. The plans also include an outside area for the kids to play soccer and other games. This home will hopefully has more children and give hope and light and a place of darkness.
