The East African countries should merge because when you look globally, we can’t compete with other developed countries as individuals. The world order is already rigged against poor countries, we need to join together and create a joint economic market that enables critical mass and economies of scale for investors especially manufacturing and also jointly we can have strong security agencies. The main problem is politicians aren’t critical thinkers and are afraid of ceding power to a new entity.
