You can't pass a law outlawing a company from bidding. The question is, are there laws covering the kind of procurement Adani is engaged in? I think there are laws but, in my opinion, there appears not to be in existence, any justification for the procurement method that is being applied. There are adequate laws in place. Correct application of those laws is where the challenge is found.

Maanzo anticipating debate on a motion not before the Senate, and taking it even further by stating his position on the subject. Eddy has even given a case where Senate's decision was reversed by Appeal Court because Khalwale had expressed prior opinion outside the House. Maanzo is just a heckler. You nay note that the Speaker of Senate has already guided Senators not to engage in discussing the impeachment motion outside the Senate! And Maanzo is still behaving as if he is out of touch with what goes on in the Senate! Shenzi kabisa. On judicial matters, one can easily lose a case not just on facts if the case, but also due to being unprocedural. Already Wetangula and his Deputy Shollei are getting entangled in issues that would not have arisen if they had kept their mouths shut outside Parliament. Heckling is not a positive attribute in judicial matters.

Are you challenged in the area of English language? Eddy has not expressed any opinion on the merits or demerits of the case. He is reminding his confused co-panelists that Senate is guided by rules, standing orders and traditions. He is reminding them of the principle of not anticipating debate. It wouldn't look good for a judge to express his/her opinion outside courts, and on a case about to be placed before the court. It stinks of bias, and that's what Eddy is reminding them of, and in particular, the heckling Maanzo.

Absolutely correct. Eddy has made his 2 senior learned friends look like goat herders in the village. I find it hard to reconcile Ekuru's current behaviour and judgement on issues with the fact that he was one of the authors of 2010 Constitution. He is inconsistent, slow in thinking through issues, poor in perception, unable to intergrate and distill competing issues, and reduced himself into a heckler. I have no problems in understanding Maanzo's mindset because he has never been anything other than being a heckler.
