What people don't understand is these leaders came in power really young, inexperienced, and faced international invasions with little to no means, even their own people for the most part, uneducated. Now they've reach political maturity, and a most advantageous international context. Most people are not even close to understanding the mental states and trauma some of them are in. That's why I'm far from the easy blame we like to throw at them. Everyone is a professional football player in front of the TV. The real switch will happen if they manage to hook up successors with the same project and transmit their experience nor wisdom. That's what he's doing

Yoweri needs to be protected at all costs! Otherwise this wisdom and thoughtfulness for Africa cannot and will not be tolerated by ‘others’ as it poses economic threat for those who have for so long enriched their countries at the expense of the African man with no shame! True African Leader he is! No wonder some fight so hard to have him labeled otherwise

I can't even begin to express how revolutionary this thinking is within the African context. And to have the steel balls to deliver that in front of the Chinese and European punters who would love nothing but for Africa to be import slaves 💪🔥
@michogarry74218 ай бұрын
Yes but what I love with Ugandans import substitution agenda is we approach the lovers I.e. China tell them to either transfer some of those factories to uganda or lose. That China has instead even benefitted more from the import substitution agenda

Your excellence president mr mesovene i really appricate the fact that you addressed to the summit and i also recomend that all African should ban their valuable resources not to export the raw materials as it is and African should remain thier resources and should process it further to the end product so,that it will add values so, africans must export the end result after processing it here in Africa and we have to show for the so called clever people that we are not fullish ✊🇪🇹

This gentleman can talk without looking at his notes.He speaks of something he has lived with for a very long time. I admire that. All our politicians just read what his team have worked out. This leader of Uganda only tells us what he has a vision for his country. We can learn a lot from this sort of reporting.
