The Kenyan Karen architecture is actually influenced by the Spanish fire resistant style because in those days the wazungus feared wildfires since they built in a forest. The clay roofing and stucco exterior with minimal wood elements in the windows is on the houses that will survive in case what happened to the Palisades in California happens here.
