Why is this surprising? He’s a wealthy man and can afford to build something like that. There’s no question about his wealth, he is a born hustler. He was the Deputy President, and even before that, he was already rich. Regardless of how he got his money, we know he’s wealthy. If we’re serious about accountability and tracking public funds, we need to audit every single person who has ever held a government position, from MCA to President, since independence. I’m certain we wouldn’t find anyone completely free of corruption, and much of their wealth would likely need to become state property.

The problem with this mega mansions they are not sustainable, reason being they are too expensive to maintain. People like Mobutu and Idi Amin and many more elites that have mansions most of their family members who inherited the properties were unable to maintain them. I agree with that 💯. No one tell us how much they've made by selling those houses. One thing, the land is public property and built free from employees payslips. The government has spent nothing and they're receiving alot by selling them and no one knows where the money is going apart from Kasongo. Those houses should be given free to slum dwellers.
