​@@123gamerz-t4j It means that struggle for freedom was not carried out in one phase. Colonialists started facing resistance from the day they set foot in the colony. Each phase of the struggle enriched and informed the next phase. Mau Mau was neither the first nor the last of those phases. It was active from 1950 to end of 1956 after which it had been neutralized enough to have the state of emergency that was imposed in 1952 being lifted in 1957.
