I'm 15 and recently cut my hair, I lost friends due to the fact I didn't have long hair extensions in, it made me realize no matter what you I do, I will get judged. Cutting my hair made me feel so much more confident, Kenza your words really are magical.

You lost friends over hair? I am so glad that you were able to see who your real friends are, because those people who left you over hair extensions were not it. I'm also glad that you were able to gain confidence from that experience.

Girl, I bet you look beautiful with the cut hair too. Don’t let anyone tell you different, I was bullied in middle school and high school because of my afro hair from doing big chops and those people weren’t worth the stress. I’m glad you stayed true to yourself and distance yourself from those people. Blessings to you ❤
@Kopano45662 жыл бұрын
That’s really awful. I’m sorry you lost friends because of something so minuscule as hair. I’m grateful that you were able to rid yourself of fake and unhealthy people so early though. You wouldn’t want to carry people who could leave you because of hair through your life and milestones you know?
@ellacreatesart2 жыл бұрын
they were not your real friends, girl! I understand you so much, I was bullied for having short hair after chemo therapy (for treating the cancer, your hair falls out) when i returned back to school. Honestly it was a traumatic experience for me, I was 13 years old, I'm 23 now but I still remember how I felt, realizing how cruel it was. Be strong and enjoy your new found freedom

I understand you perfectly, I remember when I shaved my hair in December 2018 until today I don't let my hair grow anymore. I found a self-confidence, an independence to be as I wanted I wanted to break my own codes and I started to put on makeup and jewelry when I hated it when I had my hair and today I learn and I learn myself every day

During lockdown when my grandmother died of covid I dyed my balayage blonde hair back to my natural hair colour (black). I was grieving so much and I was suffering from post covid hair loss, the balayage blonde hair was beautiful but the way my mental health weighed me down so much I was convincing myself it was ugly & my self esteem was already not it’s best after my grandmothers death. So I dyed it back to my natural hair colour black, I then suffered post COVID hair loss (the damage from using a box dye too). My hair was so thin & heat damaged even though it was so long length wise, so I chopped half of it off last summer & honestly it’s the best decision ever. I’m Asian & growing up I’ve always related long beautiful hair as a beauty standard, my hair was always naturally long & thick during my teen years so when all of that was taken away from me my self confidence was so so low after doing a big chop. Months went buy After chopping it off, focusing on health & less heat damage, I’ve never been happier. I’ve realised that without the sad things that happened to me during lockdown like my grandmas death, I probably wouldn’t have dyed my hair back to it’s natural colour nor chopped it off. And would have just kept frying my hair with bleach, wasting £100+ on hair salons just for it to damage my hair. I realised that I survived that whole ordeal with my grandmas death & came back stronger, confident and loving my true self and my true natural hair colour. I’m currently doing okay, I’m at my 2nd year of uni & just received my first 2:1 grade in my exam results (I know it’s not super high but compared to the grades I got during first year when my grandmother died, it’s a big difference for me personally ahah) . My hair has grown to mid length & I’m loving how healthier it feels. My box dye has washed out so it’s this brassy colour on my ends but I can’t afford the hair salon at the moment. So I’m planning to treat myself to a hair appointment in the summer. Thanks Kenza for sharing your hair journey!😊❤️I love watching hair journey videos as it comforts me that I’m not the only one that had hair insecurities, I think many women do & we’re all in this journey together!🥰

I shaved my hair last year and it was so liberating but not in a philosophical way or anything, I had short natural hair before, but after cutting it I was so happy that i didn't have to worry about my hair as much you have to keep braiding it to be able to comb it, wear bonets and satin head scarves to sleep, spend five hours of clean day every week on hair, man I was TIRED and the fact you have to always be consistent with it. after shaving my hair off i was like GOODBYE and i used a scissors so it took a long time but after I was done i was so happy. so simple, no worrying about shrinkage or anything.

You are beautiful, Jesus made your hair, and He loves it. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you, and when you seek Him with all of your heart, you’ll find Him and find Rest for your souls. Matthew 11:29-30 “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” Jesus loves you precious one, forever.

All it takes is someone respected and inspirational to stand up and set a new president for women’s standards. We need more of these kind of talks and coaching, especially to the younger generation… it’s amazing that you have the confidence to say in other words, we must love ourselves for who we are within, & stop putting so much emphasis on the exterior add on’s…. Natural beauty is refreshing & captivating 😍 I really hope girls watch this video & start realising that beauty really is skin deep & you alone with your natural hair (be it short, long, thick, straight, curly) are enough ❤️ also we must stop encouraging humour that is based upon mocking women with short hair or no hair, or weave etc…. over the years we’ve made women forget who they are & spend their time & energy trying to keep up with society’s ideals of what’s acceptable as beauty… Let’s reprogram… start again… & start accepting what we see when we look into a mirror.... accentuate what we have 💅 cherish, nourish & pamper our beautiful beings ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ love this video

Hey girl,I actually shaved off my hair one year ago,going on two now. I have a video up on my channel that I know could inspire someone struggling with this decision. At the time I shaved off my hair,I was dating a narcissist and trust me,me having cut my hair while in that situation was such a triumph for me. I hope that any woman that struggles with this decision could just break free from the doubts and fears and do what they really desire.
