I think the trauma dumping thing is SO BIG, so right it’s valuable people opening up to you but it can be overwhelming. You have to respect and have your own boundaries so that if you’re a deep feeling person you’re energy isn’t completely drained. Lovely video though 🤍

Kenza Boutrif I think it’s a great discussion. It’s not that we should silence ourselves but every person has a limit, trauma dumping implies multiple times and sometimes people cannot bear it especially if they’re going through a lot themselves. That’s why I say it’s personal responsibility to recognise your own boundaries and limits and prioritise your mental health if someone’s energy is becoming too much. Not saying they shouldn’t still seek a listening ear but people train for many years myself included for this exact reason. When you’re deeply empathetic others feelings can affect you too so it’s vital we look after ourselves but also others x

yeah i agree , trauma dumping isn’t just someone sharing their story - it’s in excess. at this point the receivers own mental stability is being harmed whether it’s intentional or not .Often it’s one person who’s always trauma dumping on a regular basis - it can be harmful to the receiver x
