@@NotInMYName_AntiZionistJew according to Charlie. In Pandarosa, Maria said she regretted not to vote for him, but then took it back when they got to home to Boston. Then when the game aired she txted him, explaining why she voted for Kenzie, & rewind time. Charlie explained he’s over with all the explanations & the back and forth. That’s probably y they’re friends anymore.

@@ajl9772 I was thinking that she was bitter since on the show she was seen to have an ego so when Charlie outlasted her she got mad cause I think she thought she was the reason Charlie made it to where he was. That's just my thoughts though

@@ajl9772 maria thought she was the best player. She's said so in confessionals, interviews, and was told by everyone "you would've beat us". When she found out that Charlie planned getting Q and Maria out of the game, it hurt her bc she thought she deserved to win. Plus in ponderosa, tiff told Maria that Charlie had been trying to get her out for a long time prior (not true, but accurate from tiffs POV). So Maria's vote wasn't to make Kenzie win, but for Charlie to lose

We got hints of her bitterness n bs attitude throughout the season. Just look how she acted when Charlie didn’t bring her on that reward, she had daggers out for him after that. Also when Venus called her out for that BS she pulled off when choosing who to bring after she won a reward. After tribal she went back to camp crying gaslighting everyone, “wah wah venus made me look like im horrible person” Knock knock its cuz u are! Shouldn’t be any surprise to us viewers y Maria voted for Kenzie. Its in her character 🤢

I don't mind that Kenzie won, but Maria's vote was really malicious no matter what she says. She was mad that her number one outlasted her and probably because he wrote her name down. I don't know if others picked up on Maria's ego. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I think Maria was bitter that Charlie didn’t give her more credit in FTC. This season featured some HUGE egos and Maria’s was one of them. We saw it throughout the show in her interactions with Venus and when she tried to snipe Charlie out of the game thinking she had the numbers. Charlie clearly had a plan to get to the end without her but it seemed she felt like he only got there because of her. Him giving her credit in FTC May have gotten Charlie Maria’s vote but it probably looses another vote or two so it’s tough.

According to Charlie they didnt show an extended scene pf him thanking maria loving on her and giving her her flowers which makes sense for the edit because its supposed to be about Kenzie winning not maria betraying Charlie

Im sure she knows it was bitter but truthfully if you can manage a bitter juror and get them onside or use them to your advantage, u deserve the win. Charlie should’ve done a better job with managing his relationship with maria lol

@@Jes-ff5mpI don't know what Charlie could have done to salvage Maria's vote. They were targeting each other at the same time, so she can't claim he backstabbed her. Watching the fire making portion of the finale, it was obvious that there was a Kenzie-ward tilt on the jury. For Charlie to be such an obvious winner choice to the audience, the jury vote was awfully close. One of Charlie's mistakes was assuming Maria was his only finals threat, which is why he let Kenzie stick around while Venus, Q, and Liz (players who couldn't win a jury vote) got set home. Maria shouldn't have had the power to destroy his game. I think Q and Tiffany were rock solid votes for Kenzie, so Charlie's other mistake was in not making stronger connections with Venus and Tevin. It didn't come up on the show, but I have to wonder if Venus voted for Kenzie, because Charlie screwed her over after she told him about her idol.

I truly felt the exact opposite. I actually like Kenzie, dont even mind her win though I thought that Charlie shouldve. The whole cast though was bitter emotional and holier than thou and entitled. I found them to be one of the single least fun casts to ever exist.

I’m so happy for Kenzie but I can’t help but notice that the New Era has been riddled with bitter jurors. At least it seems that way. Charlie would have gotten my vote. But the winner ALWAYS deserves the win.

That sums it up for me too. It seems like they did have a genuine friendship in a game where deceit and back stabbing is fundamental. Kind of like when Boston Rob alienated that ex-football player. The fact that Rob and Maria can't remain friends after the show with the players they back stabbed probably tells the truth about character more than anything.

It's all about having a strong social game, jury management, and a convincing final trible council performance. Kenzie owned her game and didn't discredit others. She was giving winner vibes from the start and it's their mistake not recognizing that Kenzie was a jury threat. Kenzie was the main reason why Hunter didn't play his idol. She also played a huge role in the Q blindside which led to Maria's downfall. Huge turning point in the game. She also managed her threat level and won immunity when needed. Plus Charlie didn't get Venus' vote as well.

Venus was definitely voting for Kenzie over Ben/Charlie. She would’ve vote for Maria/Liz over Ben/Charlie too

I think the point most people are making (me included) isn't that Kenzie won. I, for one, don't have a problem with that. The problem is with someone throwing a friendship away like that with a complete blindside. It is what it is but I can't look at Maria with the same impresstion I had of her for 99% of the show anymore.

@@drewd3222 There is more to the game than just blindsides. No season is the same, some casts value gameplay, others personal relationships. You got to read the room and adapt in order to secure jury votes.

@@hibodhiYep I agree. All jury members this season with the exception of Q, went into FTC with the intention of giving Kenzie the million dollars. It unfortunate when a jury has already made up its mind prior to FTC. According to the exit interviews, apparently Tiff was mayor of Ponderosa and was campaigning for Kenzie to win the whole time she was there. It’d be interesting to see what would have happened had Kenzies plan to blindside Tiff had gon through.

Even tho I think Charlie shud win, Kenzie was not as bad player. I was very impressed on how well they executed Q to vote out. That was the time when I say, Charlie, Maria, Kenzie, and Liz I’m ok if they win. Sorry Ben didn’t have any moments of execution just Venus but easy vote tho. So far this season is one of my top 3 favs

Anyone who says Kenzie didnt deserve to win, doesnt understand the point of the game and what makes it unique. The best player doesn't always win, but the best of the final 3 always does. Because jury management is part of what makes Survivor so unique. The jury will always pick the right winner of the final 3 by very definition of how the game works. You have to vote people out, then turn around and ask them to reward you with a million dollars. The player that achieves this, is the rightful winner. That's the entire point of the show. You can be a great logical strategist, but if you cant get the votes in the end, it means you did something wrong.

the reasons behind some of these peoples votes were absolute bullshit, emotions shouldn't play a part in a decision on who should win....Charlie was the clear winner, played a way better game than kenzie, she got the pity votes.

I think this season has a very interesting final three where two of them genuinely deserved to win and played incredibly different kinds of games. While I like pretty much everyone who has made it to the final 3 in the new era, it’s the first time where I think there were two legitimate choices at ftc. I think Erika easily beats Deshawn and Xander, Maryanne easily beats Mike and Romeo when finally given a platform to explain her game in detail, 43 was the battle of the goats where I think everyone from f8-f4 deserved it more than those three, Yam Yam easily destroys Heidi and Carolyn, and too many of Austin’s moves benefitted Dee over himself so that’s an easy one as well.

He stayed so off the radar that he was never on the radar as a winner candidate for the rest of the cast. Maria was seen as the person that was driving all of the votes that charlie was a part of, and the truth is, she kinda was, and charlie admitted this during the season. He let her take all the credit and THAT was his downfall - maria drove the strategy and by the time he was ready or cut her, everyone else was too, and no one was impressed by him. Sure, Charlie played a very intentional strategic game and him getting to the end was no coincidence, but the same can be said about Kenzie and her social game. Let’s be real here - was there ever a vote that Charlie RAN? No? Got it. Kenzie didn’t have a vote that she ran, but that puts her in the same strategic tier as Charlie, except her story was better, her connections to people on a personal level were better, and she needed the money more. Charlie made an excellent run that would’ve won on plenty of other seasons, but Kenzie
