Bills fan here who's watched Keon intensely this season. He has easily had 100-150 yards taken away from penalties this season on some crazy catches and is on a team with an "everybody eats" attitude asthe Bills have tied the NFL record with 13 receiving TD's from different players this season. His role will continue to grow on this team as he matures in this league. A bright star in my opinion for the BIlls moving forward !

The Bills wanted a physical receiver and that's what they got. Keon has been excellent.

@@donalddarko-xm2vnyes agreed very good talent but he just has to work on separation more. But when him and Amari cooper are healthy(along with the rest of our receivers) but especially Cooper will continue to help him with the separation. But I like him altogether and has been a big help. I'm also curious over this travers that came in at the end of the game and had a catch and run for 60+ yards. Curious to see how well he can do as a backup role

Keon fits his role on the Bills perfectly. He's also in a spot to grow and have a monster season in year 2 or 3.

Keon was really starting to pop before he got injured. It sucks because I think he would have been way better now had he played those 4 games. Silver lining = going into the playoffs fresh.

I totally agree. When you follow the Bills the way we do we started to see that JA17 Keon connection. The worst part of the injury is that PO was the one to injure him after almost putting Shakir into concussion protocol earlier in the season! Health is a great factor though. He at least had a few games prior to the playoffs to get his rhythm back. I’m curious to see if JA targets him a ton in the very few snaps he takes in week 18. It would be a huge positive for JA to leave that game with a level of trust before he hits the bench.

Keon has a lot to learn in terms of the easy stuff route tree wise, but he is an excellent off schedule player, which is always useful in a Josh Allen offense.

Let's not forget that he plays a lot of snaps b/c he does well as a blocker. Another positive is that he has a great attitude. He's been great for a rookie.

Excellent film breakdown on one of my favorite players. He’s already shows signs of being an elite blocker as well. Would have liked to see film breakdown on that aspect of his game as well, especially against Woolen. Wanted to see how his blocking has held up since coming back from his injury

Keon joined Khalil Shakir for off-season training & conditioning. Bills great Eric Moulds has trained Khalil Shakir the past 2 off-seasons with Keon joining up this past summer. I'm excited to see what this tandem turns into!

Colman is a rookie... He is friendly to Josh when he scrambles, has incredible body control when he is in the air and the guy is ultra competitive. He did drop a ball straight into a defender's lap causing one of the 6 INT's that Josh had all year. Probably the reason why he didn't get targeted and likely why he had a wrist injury... Got slapped pretty hard by the coaching staff.

There is still a role for a young speedy natural separator going forward, but I'm happy with Keon. Just keep making steady progress and stay healthy.
@liamengram6326
@liamengram6326 Ай бұрын
That is Tupac Shakir my guy. Natural separator, can juke 3 dudes in a phone booth, always makes the tough catches. Speed doesn't always need to be used downfield. In fact, if you watch how teams have used Tyreek it proves that your best bet is getting your fast guys the ball quickly in open space.

@@liamengram6326Josh is still dealing with a group that is bottom of the league in separation. His job is so much harder because of it, despite having Shakir. Shakir is awesome but he's more of the new Cole Beasley. Josh could really use a new #1, it is ridiculous how hard his job is compared to every other QB and how much he succeeds in spite of it

I feel like the bills tend to mold players into what they want out of them instead of taking their skillsets they already have and putting them into where they’d best fit according to those skills

Great analysis. Keon is physically imposing against cornerbacks. Assuming the Bills resign Amari Cooper in the offseason, I think Keon becomes a top 15 receiver with Amaris mentorship.

Curious if Allen-Coleman rapport over the course of another season (maybe sooner) will start to manifest as a high risk, very high reward option when Josh isn't seeing successful routes from Kincaid/Shakir. If that begins to happen with Coleman, I think we will see more frequent targets towards whoever we have at the #1 X receiver, whether it's Coop, or someone else. Would love to see Coop stay, but I expect after the Playoffs this season, the Bills won't have much problem finding another League-dominant X receiver to line up on the opposite side of Coleman. There will always be some of these guys around the league that have exceptional performance, but no ring. I think what this video really demonstrates is how adaptive Coleman is. He has made some big mistakes, some of which are understandable (i.e. Josh throwing a dot at your head in under 1 second on an RPO play; gotta know your QB), but this video shows how these lessons are happening in real-time with him, sometimes inside of a single game.

Astute analysis! He has grown SUBSTANTIALLY as a rookie and has been nothing short of incredible, at least in my opinion. He's a thoughtful, funny human being (if you have seen some of the press conferences) who has a chance to grow with one of the best quarterbacks in the league. He and Allen are going to be a scary duo for opposing defenses for years to come.
