The whole point of the scene is that she’s just a normal kid who’s being asked a series of ridiculous questions. It’s meant to highlight how Mr G is actually perceived versus how he thinks the school thinks of him. You can imagine that later Claire sits with her friends at lunch and recounts the weird “musical pre-audition interview” where Mr G tried to psychoanalyse her by asking her if she was sexually attracted to her dog.

Pretty much, if this was supposed to be improvisation, I think the girl was reacting like any teenager would in real life and then tell her friends later about the horrors she heard. No wonder this scene was deleted. Although I love Chris Lilley and he's definitely a brilliant actor, I think he should've channelled the humour differently in this scene. There's so much human material in school life, as well as in life in general and in his character to be explored that he could've used other issues in this scene. I've seen young teachers like Mr G in real life, so he's acting real people with this character.
