That is absolutely beautiful,😮 excellent choice of steel too. Im drooling looking at that thing. It's a simple yet beautiful blade design. Mental health has been a battle I've been fighting since middle school. I'm 50 yrs old now and am just now dealing with much of it and understanding why I am the way I am. The hardest thing for me is when I lose interest in my hobbies and things that bring me joy. It can happen overnight and last for a few days or months, I hate it. Thanks for making your video and admitting you battle with mental health . You are not alone, friend. Enjoy that new blade .

It’s a nice knife, but I prefer a pointy blade for more delicate work. Easier to get into delicate places. Or remove wood in small areas like those notches. Just easier and more efficient. I believe the sole purpose of the blunted tip was purely for skinning and gutting purposes. Obviously given the time period, it would have been a mandatory requirement of survival. Therefore a necessity. And if you require that on your large knife, then you can get away with it by using your pocket knife for the finer work. Which we know he carried. Other than the tip, it’s a standard knife. It has a long flat area that’s sharp and does 90+% of all the work. I prefer a puukko for my needs. As long as you place a finger on the pointy bit it will gut/skin safely. Any thoughts ? How do you get along with a puukko? What’s the reason you prefer the Kephart ?

@100BearPaw I love kephart knives but I use all sorts of different knives I like to see how different knives work from ages gone by. I actually like puukko blades aswell but yet to find one to suit my needs I also like bowie knives. Thanks for watching
