Wow, thank you so much for listening, I am also very humbled. Thank you for sharing Ibelin's, and frankly yours and the rest of Starlight's story. I hope you know many people have been inspired by it, including myself.

I have cerebral palsy. My caregiver recommended this movie to me the other night, and we watched it together. It is such a beautiful movie. I am proud to say that I'm a World Warcraft player, and I wholeheartedly support what this movie is doing by showing that people with disabilities can make a difference!!

Thanks for sharing such a personal story with us. ❤ As the animator of the film it makes me happy to see that it opens up dialogue like this. It's so important.

Thank you so much for stopping by and listening. The documentary was very inspiring for me and I'm happy to know the story of Ibelin. I appreciated your work as well. I was able to connect with with real people and their lives through how they were depicted in the game. It was really well done!

@PivotalYT I don’t know what goes into animating in the WOW engine but I imagine it’s a lot of work . Thanks for your part in this incredible story.

I first read about Ibelin in an article in a local magazine. I've never played on Argent Dawn, so I never knew or met Ibelin myself, and this article came out a few years after he died. Then I saw the Duchennes campaign on the WoW launcher, and saw the documentary on Netflix. This was a sad, but heartfelt story, and I really like the character animation and voice acting. They've clearly taken inspiration from WoW videos on KZbin, just like South Park did with their WoW episode.

I really connected with your analogy of the river and feeling like you're on the side looking at other people jumping in and floating with the flow. For years I felt like this as well. Thank you for rhis video. You matter!

Thank you for sharing❤ I reinstalled the game after seeing the documentary, to visit his memorial. It got curious to spend some more time in Argent Dawn, and join in on the 18th as well.

I really connected with you and your story, even though we come from drastically different worlds. Your analogy of watching your friends surpass you at parties and gatherings is very reminiscent of my own life as a gay man who grew up in a small town in the Midwest and not being accepted. Sure, you can have those friends that talk to you in person, but won’t pay you the time of day outside of those school halls. You definitely gained a subscriber today, even though I’ve watched a few of your other videos, this is the one that earned it. Are you a guild master anywhere? I would consider joining lol

Thank you so much for sharing your own experience. While my vision condition isn't as bad as your, I am also visually impaired. So, in real life, I don't drive either. But in this game, I can travel as well as anyone else can. And my main is a mage, so I not only travel more EASILY, I can also "give people a ride" while in real life, I often depend on the kindness of others to get places. I can fly and travel freely. In a way, that may be why being able to fly is SO important to me - yeah, it's convenient but for me, it's more than that. I also feel SO free while flying. And HEY to a fellow visually-impaired artist!! (There are surprisingly many of us, I guess). I feel the same way as you do about the monetization. One of the things I used to love about the game is that in many ways, if you could afford to BE in WoW, then money didn't matter otherwise. Sure, it might affect how much time you could play, or how good of a hardware you have to play on, but INSIDE the game, it didn't matter. Back then, except for a few classes, everyone started their first toon at level 1, in poor clothing, low power, walking. You gained everything by playing. Even when it came to BUYING things, you had to play to make the gold. And that aspect has changed a LOT, unfortunately. But I still love the game in many ways, and I stay for various reasons and the main ones being . . . my friends, my guild, the connections I've made, and the memories that we've shared over the years.

I used to play a lot of Warcraft back in the day, too much haha. Argent Dawn veteran for sure, but this one hit me a lot. It shows the beauty of gaming and how it can connect people regardless of where they are. It doesn't matter how if you're sick, shy or whatever in the end. Of course it also shows the "ugly" side of how people can hide things too, and how people can just disapear at times. Parents who worry about their children gaming should watch this for sure... It hits you in the feelings especially if you've been in the roleplay environment as I have in Warcraft. Personally, I was a very insecure young man back in the day, even if I had no reason to be. Warcraft taught me a lot, grew me in many ways and I even had a relationship with someone I met there that lasted for 8 years and got me a daughter due to it. Now another woman and a baby boy years later by pure chance of a day I was bored and logged in. I don't play WoW anymore, but it has had a huge impact in my life, and there are certain people I will never forget. I will forever be thankful for that environment, and it is strange how a virtual place can have such a huge impact, but I think "The remarkable life of Ibelin" proves just that in the most meaningful of ways.
