KERALA BACKWATERS on a LOCAL BOAT 🇮🇳

When Rachel from ‪@talesofodyssey‬ invited me to join on a Kerala backwater cruise I couldn't say no of course! Instead of renting a houseboat in Alleppey we decided to go on a public transport boat from Kottayam to Alleppey because it's always more fun with the locals!
Before starting the boat ride I did a tour of this very interesting boat. Especially the toilet was unique!
During the boat ride we enjoyed lots of beautiful scenery and we even got stuck for a minute. Luckily I brought Dark Fantasy biscuits as part of my survival kit, no worries at all!
Once we made it to Alleppey we were both starving so we decided to find a restaurant. We had a delicious veg meal as recommended by the tuk tuk driver.
After this we explored Alleppey beach and lighthouse.
On the way back on the boat from Alleppey to Kottayam we enjoyed a gorgeous sunset.

If I was really desperate but I would do it so quickly with my eyes closed. Can't believe there isn't like a holding tank. It goes into the environment. You would love the BWCA. Boundary waters canoe area by the Canadian border.people go camping and fishing and no garbage allowed.

Why has there been no Parotta and bf fry roast, your in the south... You need to try the el sadhya and all the vegeterian sides( many many options). Try South Indian food brah... Kerala Chicken roast Appam and chicken curry Kerala Fish Curry and Rice Duck Curry and Kalappam Thattakada Chicken Fry Lamb Curry and rice or appam Kerala style Biryani Fish Fry Squid ring fry Kallummakkai Fry aka Oyster/mussle stir fry squash or pumpkin erissery and rice with yellow morea, sambar, rasam, cheera thoran, Karimeen pollichathu and kerala rice Kerala Prawn Curry and rice iddyappam (string appam) and egg curry lamb roast Nadan Kozhi Varuthathu Konju Fry (shrimp fry) Erachi Varutharacha Curry (Fried-Ground Mutton Curry) puttu and kadala curry (steamed coconut rice and chick pea curry) The many types of Chicken Curry (regional) Beef Curry and rice kathrika (Egg plant fry) Also they have lots of Muslim influenced foods like Kababs, and shawawamas, biryanis (on the road sides)
