My inlaws don't enjoy resorts. When we went together last time, they were not able to enjoy because they thought it costs a lot. Most of the older generation in kerala see it as a luxury and can't understand the need for peaceful relaxation, because they would never have done it. For them sight seeing is staying in a hotel and covering maximum tourist places in that area.

Iam telugu speaking person n due to love for Kerala I visited Allepy, Munnar, Tekedy, Guruvayur, Cochin all may be around 2009 It was amazing to see beauty of nature. We stayed in Allepy resort near backwaters n tried little fishing. And observed why it is called backwaters. Understood after seeing all the leaves whatever floating goes in onedirection in the morning and returns back in the evening in opposite direction. So Megha have you noticed that?

Truly God's own country Kerala , this alleppey, kumarokom back water house boat journey, with traditional wooden house boat with green pads field with breakfast , lunch ,dinner with scenic beauty's of rice paddy fields you no where get thus types of unique experience perhaps may be in the world , munnar kashmir of South another hill station s , with Tea estates mountains , more over Kerala traditional foods my experience it's best food in india and cheap and best , fish curry with Tapioca, it's one of best combination food in the world , banana chips , Tapioca chips , jackfruit chips , these are few , so my dear friends try to visit Kerala atleast once in life that's all ,

Really loved your blog. I had seen some comments here comparing house experience of Kerala with House boat experience of Dal lake, Kashmir. In my opinion both are entirely different experience, dal lake houseboats won’t move and it’s static basically you just stay in houseboat and enjoy the views from there . If you want to have a boat ride in the Lake , you need to take shikara. Whereas these house boats will move around the vembanadu backwaters and anchor only around 6 00 pm in the evening. Nevertheless both offers an experience with mesmerising beauty and serenity and therefore you cannot really compare these two.

Kerala, God's own country is bountiful of natural treasures, the green paddy fields, authentic Kerala cuisine and the canals all are our own. Back water tour in a house boats with all the comforts are really a leisure tour. Paddy fields drone video was excellent, sourabh did a great job. We also recall our back waters tour of Alleppy. You're in India and desh ki mitti ke khusbu, amazing serenity, the chirping birds all will fill your heart. Specially, very happy to see your parents with you, Greate. God bless you abundantly.
