Best Content ever! when is the next episode?
@ricker024 Жыл бұрын
Hey Keralis great point of advice before you get into a rage about the cargo trains. Unlike CS1, CS2 requires you to build the cargo train lines to the outside region. Otherwise they will not spawn.

I think your college has no students because it is restricted to a district with no residents. Also, I think your roads are beautiful

Did you notice the exit ramp going the wrong direction on your custom trumpet interchange?
@badger4719 Жыл бұрын
As far as suggestions go, I really enjoy when you take your time working in a beautiful area. You say it might be boring but I've watched a TON of your content and you have such a creative eye for details. Maybe spend an episode focusing on creating, balancing, and beautifying a district? Just a thought. Thank you for what you do!!

Hey Keralis! I'm really enjoying your series, I wanted to tell you that as far as the trains are concerned, I don't think they are as automatic as in cities skyline 1 anymore. You have to set the route yourself (e.g. Depot -> Cargo Port -> Outer City). If you go to the limits of the world with the train route to do you will see an arrow that will show you the city where it will go (this applies to ships, cargo trains, passenger trains and even planes). Also, another tip is to keep an eye out for unique zone builds (e.g., industrial ones unlock certain companies that will go to reduce imports e.g., car factory, oil refinery, etc.).
@WizzardofOdds Жыл бұрын
In that new interchange you built at 12:38 the offramp is going in the wrong direction. I think for your cargo terminal you need to set up a route to the edges of the map just like for passenger service.

Great series! Here's how you can fix the road flickering with TAA: In the graphics settings, go in the Advanced tab and scroll down to the Terrain Quality Settings, you can to set the terrain quality to Custom, the Subdivisions to 5 (I think its the default) and the Target patch size to 4 (thats the important setting). That fixed the flickering for me, hopefully it will for you too :)

My favorite part of this is the insight on your mind- hearing the way you think, it feels like it makes me smarter. I like how you dont play only industrialy, but focus on making your city beautiful. Its fun seeing creativity instead of "how do i speedrun making a huge ugly city, and make most money"

Keralis, one thing that'll step up your roads is looking at slopes! If you see the little slope icon and see the %. Typically IRL you aim for 4-7%, 10% as the goal for Accessibility for Wheelchairs+all Vehicles +etc., but with TECHNICALLY possibility to go up to 17% (though this isn't recommended at all!)

Love your city Keralis!! I feel your need to plan the road infrastructure in advance, but I'd be careful not to duplicate road connections. As an example, the road connection to your new industry area may be unnecessary when you have a parallel highway that, at the moment, ends in that same areas. Later on, you can expand your road network in the industry valley and connect it to the other highway (the first connection to your city) so it has multiple access points. This is also the case of some big roads that go across the middle of your city, but do not offer any additional advantages for drivers. Hope this helps!! I'm loving this series!

Tips for the city: 1.cargo trains need routes like passengers trains 2. Use a two way railroad coming into the cargo terminal, otherwise the waiting trains will wait across the bridge until the trains in the terminal will finish which will cause traffic 3. Don't forget that the oil is limited and I'm pretty sure that the ore is too 4. The pollution will fade away faster the more industry you'll remove from the area 5. The reason why the trains don't go out from the doors in the railyard is because the doors are for the trains that come in for maintenance and the new ones "appear" from the station in the other city. I hope you see that and ot helps you, love your serie

I love this series so much, your imagination is amazing, those roads and highways are precise and perfect :) You have to create a line for the freight trains, just like the passenger ones, it works the same way (same for boats and planes) :) And yes, if you want to have different buildings, you have to make different shapes, although there aren't that many models and they will be quite repetitive. I'm already looking forward to the next episode :)

That custom trumpet-intersection is a thing of beauty!
I haven't bought the game yet, because of the performance issues and major simulation bugs (or lack of implementation), but the road tools are very cool. Much improved over the original game. If Colossal Order gets their acts together, maybe I'll get to enjoy them for myself, but in the meantime I'll enjoy watching you build elaborate and beautiful interchanges.
