You don't want the clay to dry to fast, there's a risk for cracking and warping.

@@muffy1370 thats actually why I didnt really unterstand it. It will dry even faster in the oven so I thought it must even be good to make dry slower first

@@julikabeer2987 yes, that’s right. Clay and porcelain in particular is shrinking a lot when it’s drying. When it shrinks to fast, it will crack. Ones it’s bone dry as we call it, you can bisque fire it in the kiln. That’s where you remove any water content from the clay. The next and final step is glazing.
