Thank you for clarifying coarse hair can like protein!!! I’ve always been so confused because my hair looks coarse yet loves protein. So, I always felt like I must just have fine low porosity hair like most wavies. Yet my hair feels coarse and gets wet easily. This makes so much sense now.

I know it’s a while ago but, you have almost the same hair as me 😃. I am so happy to find you. 😊Even though I live in Canada (Winnipeg- Manitoba) super cold most of the year. My hair doesn’t like protein much though, it gets weird, like more frizz and breaks easily. The porosity is low cause when spray water on it “naked” it just literately sits on top of it. I am 38 yrs old almost 39, getting some gray in. Very long but layered, course and high density. But pregnant again and looking for hair products that doesn’t have so much “natural things” like essential oils cause I am also extremely sensitive to certain brands (Curlsmith and Aveda for sure at this point) I have been experimenting with lots of products (Ouidad, Ouia, AG Care, Verb, Bounce Me, and Briogeo) I loved that you said that you didn’t had any headaches with the scent. My eyes tend to burn, my scalp gets warm and tight when I use something that causes irritation. Did you end up doing any mix matching with the Curl cream? I was thinking if the AG Mousse Gel or any Ouidad gels would be a good combo. Thanks for the very detailed video. Merry Christmas 🎉🎉🎉

Your washday results looked really nice! You can definitely tell the hold just wasn't there. I bet that plus no protein just was too much of a struggle. I have to have at least one styler with some protein or my curls fall fast. It has to come from the stylers - I've tried using protein heavy conditioner & then protein free stylers and nope. If I don't have that structure, my hair just doesn't look right. It can be the hardest hold gel ever, but if it's protein free it's not going to hold my curls. 🤷🏽♀️ My hair has been wanting a bit more moisture than it used to, but I still need a lot protein. I try to use moisturizing conditioners & curl cream (they may have a bit of protein, but it's usually nowhere near the top), then go ham on protein stylers😆 I'm both bummed & relieved those products have coconut oil in them AND zero protein, because that's one thing I know I won't be buying lol! I've said it before, but I'm going to try REALLY hard not to buy any new hair products for a few months. I've just been sticking to AG, innersense, & bounce curl combos lately, with some Paul Mitchell & biolage styling gelee...oh & Twist weather up styling lotion. That sounds like a lot to say that I've "just" been sticking to those, lol, But there's like hundreds more I'm not using so I really am only sticking to a handful of products lately☺️😂

Thank you! Yes, wash day turned out well but it just fell really fast. I also need a lot of protein and it’s definitely better if it’s in the stylers. For me it doesn’t matter if it’s in the cream or the gel as long as it’s there. Well not buying these will definitely help your bank account! Lol. I really need to use AG more. I used to have a lot of their products. They’re really great quality! And there’s definitely more Innersense and Bounce Curl products I want to try too. Along with many other brands…. I can blame it on the channel though! 😂

Wow the prices on those 😬 your hair has looked better with many of the less expensive products. Have you heard of the cream sandwich method? I can’t remember who posted it on Instagram, but it would be interesting to get your take on it.

Do you mind sharing what the name of your styling brush is? I know the description says you couldn't find your exact brush, but I'm curious as to what the brand is.

The refresher spray looks like a disappointment :( Not just from your video, but from other reviewers, too. I was so excited about it, but I might just stick to my usual routine which doesn't include that kind of products. I'm still tempted though...
@CurlyChelle5472 жыл бұрын
Yeah,it wasn’t my favorite. I don’t care for refresher sprays in general though. I still might find a way to make it work. Thank you for watching!

I know this is 1 tear old,but, Why wouldn't you scrunch your hair while bending over? You have a lot of hair, that's why it's flat on top. Try cutting in layers??
@CurlyChelle547 Жыл бұрын
My hair is layered. A lot actually. It’s not flat on top because of lack of scrunching or a lack of layers but because my curl pattern was starting to change and get looser due to hormones. No amount of scrunching is going to change that. Also my hair, while layered, was still pretty long and weighing itself down. And these products over conditioned my hair which also weighed it down. Scrunching isn’t going to fix that either. You might have missed it, but I’m licensed hairstylist with 20 years of experience. I know why the top is flat but thank you for your insights.
