@@blueblackyellow yes. i have wavy hair, tried keratin shampoo/conditioner and it ruined my natural waves. made my hair flat, thin and brittle. argan oil (plus argan oil shampoo) saved my hair.

After visiting a Dominican salon for over a year, I discovered they were secretly adding keratin to their conditioners, which explained why my roots remained wavy while the rest of my hair was straight. This revelation prompted me to stop going to those salons, and since then, my hair has grown significantly; however, the ends still retain their straight texture due to the keratin still there. Despite a recent trim of three inches, a substantial amount of straight hair remains. To address this, I use a sulfate-based shampoo to strip the keratin, followed by a deep conditioner to help restore moisture and health to my hair.

i have 7 months that made keratin treatment and my hair are very thin...i had very thick hair....i feel them destroyed. no curly hair again. i dont believe that i can have the previus result again.

Thank you so much. You helped me a lot and also thanks to all the people who commented below about their experiences with keratin. You guys helped me a lot. A got big wavy curly hair that many people likes it. I used to wash my hair with soapnuts which is natural ingredients, but once I stopped using them my hair got frizzy because of the chemicals in the shampoos. For almost 25 years I used to wash my hair with soapnuts. My hair is strong and thick, dark brown. But there is frizzy hair above the forehead. One day when I went to beauty parlor they said that I definitely need keratin which costs 250 dollars. This is the first time I wanted to try keratin, but after going through this video and below comments, I've decided to not go through keratin. I love my hair even if it is frizzy. I will go natural. Thank god for giving me such natural thick, strong and wavy hair. Love you guys.

I have been keratin treatments for years. My hair was super shiny and soft (it isn't naturally). However, when it was wet my hair was super stretchy and stretchesd until it fell out when I washed it. I got A Lot cut off and started using aphogee once a month and redken anti-snap. It's getting stronger now but now it's so frizzy. I miss the keratin but I know if I go back, I'm gonna be bald.

mittie rowland hi I’m having the same problem after using keratin shampoo and conditioner for so many years. I’ve started using the redken antisnap shampoo would you recommend the conditioner too? I’m worried both could cause protein overload!

I had the exact same experience sadly, my hair is literally exactly the same as yours. I decided to keep doing it as I couldn't cope with the texture difference between the roots and the ends. It's hard. But I've decided to preserve this time and let my natural curls develop! Thanks for making this video you're right there are none and other girls with similar hair NEED to hear this if they havent been warned xx

Can you please do an update?!?! I got a keratin about 1 year ago and my hair looks very similar to yours in this video except the whole top layer is stick straight (from heat damage I'm sure). I want to go natural but need some motivation.

I give the keratin treatment at least a year tbh or when my natural curls revert to normal and then redo it. Guys it’s not a perm if you put a keratin treatment on keratin processed hair it will fall out(protein overload) and waves or looser curls will turn straight and the new growth is not the same texture. If your hair fell out you are sensitive to protein. I always DIY not salon.

Hi, Thanks for the video. I was having second thoughts whether I should go fwd with keratin with my color damaged hair, and after looking your and other video I am changing my mind. I did this and it was BAD it looked good until my natural hair came in and it made my hair MASSIVE I had it for about two years then my hair started to fall out lets say I had to get a boy cut(I chose It and yes I love it) and cut off all that damaged hair

My daughter had very straight hair, virgin hair.. she went and had it bleached midway down.. big mistake. It’s been 1 1/2 years now and that changed her hair some how.. now her hair at the nap of her neck actually grows from the root frizzy! And even tho it’s all grown off from cuts and trims it has still teamed havoc on her natural hair.. it still breaks off..

Hello I had the same experience with the keratina in my hair. And what I am doing in order that my curls return, is to do plaits me and in the top of the braid I make myself a few bantu in the top and I me tie them with ribbon in order that not drop the top or don't slip

Hmm...I have Carribean curly hair (mixed) but my keratin treatments have been great. I still have curls but they’re bigger when I don’t blow out my hair. You need to treat your hair at home to not let it get weak and unhealthy (even while transitioning). I did a Brazilian blowout once and that was a hot mess. My hair was horrible and will never do that again.

Don't worry. U will lose your hair more if u start worrying about ur hair. Don't. Just stay calm and pass this message to all the people who wants to go through this treatment. All you need to do is massage your hair with castor N coconut oil 3 times in a week. In one year you will see the difference. Go natural. I'm mean not the chemical shampoos. Go for soapnuts which makes your hair thick, strong and healthy. And your hair grows faster. God bless you babe. By the way I'm Indian😊

@@terriboutique4686 it will happen. Don't worry. Do it for 3 months. Apply onion juice to ur clean n dry scalp 2 times in a week. Add castor oil in coconut oil and apply. Onion juice and onion oil gives you fast and good hair growth. 😊 Use soapnuts instead of shampoos. Soapnuts are natural and chemical free.

@@blueblackyellow I looks very good for the first 3 to 6 months. U will love your hair if you go through keratin at first. But after few months you will lose your thick, strong and curly hair. Because this keratin treatment contains a cancerous chemical called "formaldehyde" which is not at all good for us. This formaldehyde will damage our hair like u ever seen. During this treatment you can see ur eyes burning and tearing, the chemical smell and this can leads to cancer if you go through keratin every year. If you want a beautiful and non frizzy hair, just massage your hair with castor oil and coconut oil 3 times a week and use shampoos which are natural. Eat healthy food which contain keratin. So that you will get keratin naturally with the food. God bless you. Go natural😘😘

I'm in the same boat! Grr about a month ago I went to a "natural" hair salon looking for help with my hair. I've been transitioning from a relaxer for over a year so I had mostly natural hair except for 3inches or so of straightened hair. The stylist recommended I get a Design Essentials STS treatment. She said it's a strengthening treatment that smooths the hair and you keep your curls but can wear it straight easily too. Well my curls are ruined. I think it's a combination of the heat used during the treatment and the actual treatment itself. Come to find out it's basically a keratin like treatment. Grrrr my hair is ruined and I need to "transition" all over again. Do you know of any products that can help? I've noticed anything with protein in it just dries my hair out and makes it worse. I'm currently dealing with damaged pattern and lots of breakage. The lady at the salon recommended using moisture but I'm not trying to deal with them again.

i am sooo sorry you went through that ! :( i would recommend using moisture treatments. honestly Shea Moisture really really helped me out. especially when your new growth comes in. it helps with the two different textures. protein can help to restore you natural curl pattern, but you will need to follow up with a moisturizing deep conditioner. good luck love! and remember to have patience!

I am so confused!!! I just got my hair done today with a keratin without straightening it(I want my natural healthy curls back), my mom is a salon owner and has never used this certain keratin before. It's like an eco keratin, supposedly not normal keratin. Half of my hair is curlier and the other is wavy. PLUS THE WHOLE THING is frizzy! Now that I know from keratin is not the result. Ugh, I don't even know what to do, I thought it was supposed to make my curly hair healthier, it just started getting healthier on it's own from damaged hair and less frizzy and I thought this would make it better.😫
