I LOVE the change from money to resource limitation. That makes so much more sense as money is this arbitrary number you can just add more of anytime. Anyone considering buying KSP2, DO NOT BUY IT YET. It's been out 6 months and the game still doesn't have reentry heating or science collection. The PR team for this game is also incredibly snarky and gets mad at it's own community simply for asking when super basic things like reentry heating will be added. KSP 1 even without mods is still a vastly superior game to KSP2 at this point.

I have atleast 50 hours on KSP2 after patch 3. 1000+ pirate, ~400 steam hours on KSP1 all without mods, I've never used mods just watched videos about them. I think I can safely say that KSP2, even at this stage, is A LOT better and enjoyable than KSP1 without mods.

Structural wings that are used to attach other wings to, that are also procedural would be fantastic. Procedural airliner wings that have flaps and slats, and airliner parts (fuselage, cockpit, airliner specific landing gear, etc) would be extremely epic!!

In terms of wings, I would like to see the option to have multiple or no control surfaces on a wing. I also think that the curved wing tip makes extending multiple procedural wings to shape a varied wing shape kinda ugly. I would like to see that the shape of all edges of the wings would be adjustable. So you can have a hard leading or trailing edge, or a flat tip, etc. Just like the B9 procedural wings mod from KSP 1.

Game at this moment is non playable after 3 patches and around 6 months after launch. Randomly changing trajectories, issues with camera, disappearing parts of UI, poor graphic and PCU utilization optimization, saves going broken, freezes when accessing parts features, vessels getting broken between saves or game sessions, docking causing tones of bugs, separation settings getting reset randomly for your crafts in VAB/at launch/at space. It is not just one part of the game that has some bugs. The whole thing is very poorly done. You've been telling us that you got tones of fun when playing it but at the end it is impossible to create any longer mission without tones of crashes, saving and loading all the time hoping for a miracle that vessel will not get broken by the game itself. You gave us airbrakes but they start to open in opposite direction after loading a game... I bought it at EA launch and it is unfortunately too late to get money back. I reported few bugs on forum but never get an answer. Please focus on making this game playable, not on creating expectations you cannot handle or marketing mambo-jambo.

Something which ksp 2 i believe doesnt have. From dev interviews to the AMAS i have come to the conclusion that the latest stages of the roadmap. multiplayer colonies interstellar etc are in a early prototype stage and maybe some in pre alpha. So i think that they lied in the interviews before the "release" to grab as much money as possible.

my only problem with KSP is tree-like ship building game engine. which means you can only have one active point of attachment. which makes actually interesting designs either impossible or wacky. Like - you can't add a duo coupler, attach two fuel tanks and close them with another duo coupler as - one fuel tank will not be attached to anything. For me this is a deal breaker. With that said - I had at least 500 hours in KSP and by no means I think this is a bad game. One of the best games in my opinion actually.

EVE Redux, Blackracks Volumetric Clouds, Parallax 2.0 all make KSP1 look incredible, LEAGUES better than how KSP 2 looks, and you can also use restock mod (which was created by Chris adderly, the same person in this interview) to greatly enhance the visual quality of the stock parts. And it all runs 20x faster too. Lmao

I don’t follow KSP2 too closely and had no idea what mods this guy was behind in KSP1 despite most of the early questions being about modding. I read the title. It’s obvious who he is NOW. But what’s the context on why this guy is seemingly so important within the modding community? where did this guy come from in regard to KSP1? Backstory is needed for introductions. not just “I modded other games, and found KSP. I've been enjoying the game tons guys, i'm so damn grateful to live in this day and age :'1 I have a couple things to say though: 1) I need a fix for the wobbles struts aren't working D: 2) I would really love a wing rectangle just to attach to other wings and build more complex wings. 3) I'm guessing this is already in the forums and stuff but I've been having problems with parts like landing legs/wheels and parachutes popping off just because 4) I would really like the KSP1 sliders for the action groups especially the thrust limiters for engines, they are really useful. 5) robotics, please? 👉👈

The game is not unplayable, but the main features of the first part are absent. The more relevant Funkiller is that it contains so many bugs that the bugs sometimes force you to load a previous save when visiting a gas giant or other distant planet. The game will get boring even after a short while as all the items, engines or whatever are also in the previous KSP game. So it's better to wait or even better: play the first part of the game.

For some gamers I could swear that griping is their real hobby, and gaming is just the enablement mechanism. We all know the situation with KSP2, and continuing to brigade with negativity 6 months after release achieves absolutely nothing good. Some of us want to see this game continue to be developed to reach its potential, that's obviously going to be a long road still and no amount of whinging is going to change that. There is literally nothing about the game you people haven't already complained about ad nauseum. You are adding nothing new. For the love of god please go find something constructive to do with your time.

I've got a gamer complaints buzzword bingo card going, I think I'm close to winning. Steam has a refund policy, and they are quite flexible with it a when a game launch shits the bed. So hows about you get your refund and then go away?

I haven't pre-ordered a game since Spore, and I'm fairly sure I can count the number of AAA releases I've played in the last ten years on my fingers with a couple to spare. Because I'm not interested in whatever overly hyped polished turds are coming out of the AAA studios these days. So you're way off the mark there buddy. But you know what else I can do after _not_ buying those games I don't like? I can _not_ spend a whole bunch of time and energy harassing the fucking devs over their product like an entitled child who's mad they didn't get the christmas present they wanted.

Nobody cares about KSP2. You've shown you have no intention or ability to complete this project. It's clear now that this was all a cash grab, and that the game will never see release, let alone any of your ludacris milestones. KSP2, another in a long line of failed hype trains. This game will never compete with KSP, even if you reeach your milestones... in two more decades. The modders want nothing to do with this mess, and without them, you have no players. Period.

Even though the game is far from perfect, im still grateful for there being a 2nd one with a lot more base potential. Even though it isnt as refined as ksp1, it is still worth the buy. Plus if they do any dlc's in the future, and they do it exactly like they did for ksp 1, buying now will save money ;)

In no way is KSP 2 worth the buy in the buggy, barely playable state it is in currently and has been in for 6 months. It's likely going to be in Early Access for years at this point (if it isn't cancelled entirely), so please wait to buy the game. Trust me, it will still have that EA discount for a VERY long time.

Consider not buying the game a form of insurance. Yes, it will cost 20 usd more if they up the price to 70 usd before release rather than right on the mark, but they also might not do that at all, or it will take years and your money will be tied up in something you can't benefit from. It also helps to lessen the success of a release like this to show the higher ups at private division that releases like this do not generate the money they want and should be held off.

I've loved the game so far, and the latest updates have done a lot to improve the performance and reduce the number of bugs. Been able to visit most planets without too much issue, which is a great sign. Looking forward to seeing some of these roadmap features implemented. I think the game has a very high chance of becoming something amazing.

At full price. Pay for a game, wait a year+ for it to be fully playable. They should’ve just waited and released the full game once they had it done (Or at least to the point where they have all the features of Ksp1), because selling a game with less features than its predecessor for more is just screaming “Give us money”

what "early access" copers forget: full $50 price tag (with intent to raise it to $60) at least 3.5 years of dev gave us what we got in February, a buggy piece of garbage borderline money laundering game with very little content and features compared to KSP1 3 years of delays with no mention of early access being in the release from 3 years ago (what were they doing with all of this time?) barely anything has changed in the last 6 months, you don't even have RE-ENTRY yet. let alone a single point on the roadmap dealt with.
