Waterproofing the shower and floor in the main floor bathroom. I'm using Kerdi membrane, Allset and a 1/8 x 1/8 square notched trowel.

i hope that works for you. If im not mistaken, kerdi wasnt designed to go on plywood. but it will probably be fine...

Plywood is on the list of subfloor it is allowed to be applied to. Most tilers use ditra for floors but I like plywood then kerdi. Carpenter way!

@@ConstructionCoach plywood is listed for DITRA, not for kerdi

Good to know, i don’t like ditra over osb. Seems wrong bonding anything to osb that is not wood glue and wood.

@@ConstructionCoach well, it may seem wrong, but that’s why schluter tests it extensively in the lab before reccomending people do it. Anyways, I highly doubly you will have an issue the way you did it, but it’s good for viewers to note that this is not an approved assembly by schluter .

Curious, why go vertical with the strips and not horizontal, starting from the bottom up, letting each have the 2 inch overlay, water flows down, then you have no joints to fill in the corners and provides a better seal?
