KERLI + Shadow Works l Documentary l PART III
Kerli’s latest album Shadow Works speaks to our darker side. It is closely related to Kerli’s personal experiences of returning back to the rural life in the nature of her home country, Estonia, and being able to fully know and heal herself through years of solitude in the nordic wild. The documentary raises themes as solitude, nature, ancient Estonian magic, DIY lifestyle, the creative process, and most importantly, discovering oneself in the full spectrum of life and making peace with the darkness.
A more intimate look into Kerli’s world allows us a rare view into her creative process in the woods of Estonia and hear stories of years spent in the fast-paced entertainment industry of Los Angeles.
This documentary has Estonian, English, Russian subtitles.
Filmi juures on saadaval subtiitrid eesti, inglise ja vene keeles.
Смотрите фильм с русскими, эстонскими и английскими субтитрами.

I have started doing shadow work on myself because of your music. Through my journey in my darkness I have learned that the darkness I was afraid of it's just a different beautiful shade of myself that before I couldn't understand. If now I am a better human being is because of you and your music. So thank you for your wisdom and your art.

@@KERLImusic There are other Shadow Work Healers than Teal Swan. I just mentioned her since she is the most well known Shadow Worker. Shadow Work has the opposite approach to reach the same goal as Light Work. Both support you in learning how to accept and love yourself, and to heal the trauma that caused you to come out of alignment. However, where Light Work helps you to discover and express your beneficial sides, Shadow Work helps you by making you aware of your currently detrimental sides in order to enable accepting and loving the whole of who you are. It is becoming aware of your full identity, stepping into a space of authenticity. It is becoming aware that you are flawesome! (Awesome because you own your flaws instead of rejecting, denying, dismissing or disowning them) 💛🖤🌞🌛💝

I think one of the biggest hurdles for a lot of men is to get over the feeling that they need to define themselves by conquest, sexual or otherwise. That’s not who they are and it demeans them. For women, it is definitely agreeableness. That’s the largest psychological difference between men and women. I know, because I am as high as you can get on both agreeableness and openness. So I go with the flow and do not judge-which has allowed me to see so much more information in life and see the universe speaking to me because I don’t project my own intentions and desires and judgements onto it. Like Kerli says, it is important not to judge. BUT the downside is pent-up creativity because I don’t have the self-important assertiveness to express the inner me and draw those boundaries which allow me to be me. And it’s frustrating to be always misunderstood and judged when I do not do that. That’s my hurdle, as it is for many women. Even driving LYFT -which I do to be able to creatively write- I feel the judgements and projections of others seeking to derail who I am, to prevent real human connections and change them into domination power struggles from the fearful, judging, and controlling. These forceful people don’t see that they are missing out on what other people can give them truly and freely from their souls if they would not do that. So it makes it hard to live as agreeable and open. But women need to know how much power they have in being that way because they can get the best of people and make connections which are deeper. Always work on boundaries and find those who you can flow and connect with. Then they will lift you up on air. Don’t let your vulnerability which is actually supreme strength keep you from your own path. Set boundaries and move away... whatever you need to do.

It's amazing how just before I saw this, I wrote on Part 2 about us people (I am a man) have hard to express emotions and come in touch with them and how your music helped me with that part. It's like you knew what I was thinking, very intresting. :D Thank you for making my life better, you are one of my biggest inspirations in life.

These words of you really resonated with me. "A really incredible space internally to get to is where you don't have too much judgment. Not on your self and not on other people". I was like, yes that is soo true and that is also what I have experienced the last 1,5 years. It's so relieving to experience. After this I picked 4 tarot card, guess which one. 'the judgment' telling me I should have a good look at the judgments I make and to let go of them :)

True dat. Judgments are such a burden. One way I train to release them is trying to remain completely opinionless while someone else is expressing themselves. Trying to remove my own mental projections and noise from the energetic space so that the whole space is held for them. I've honestly been pretty blown away by what happens to people when you allow them a space like this, some place they can just be. People are also much more interesting than I thought they were, now that I know how to ask question and actually am curious for real.

@@KERLImusic Thanks for the tip, it sounds really interesting. I already know it will take a lot of practise to do so, but it will be worth it :) What I learned is the last 1,5 years is that not only my live becomes so much easier if I try not to judge myself too hard. But automatically I also judge other people way less. It's nice to have someone around that doesn't judge you, but believes in what you are capable of, even if you can't see it yourself. I'm trying to be that kind of person too. Why? Because I had some people around me that did exactly that when I was at the lowest point in my live. They didn't judge, helped me and believed in me. Those moments I will always remember. Thanks for inspiring me in ways that make me question my own believes and learning new things :)
