Watch Hindi movie "Dangal" on Netflix. The storyline is extremely similar, but the girls of the family are real wrestlers who compete in Olympics and stuff. That movie too is about a wrestling family in an Indian village, and how they compete internationally. The lead actor who plays the dad had to put on a ton of weight and lose it to show his earlier days of wrestling. Did Steve watch and get the family dynamics from there? Not sure.

@Daniel Knight No, the "editing" I'm referring to is the changing of camera angles. It's being recorded live so they don't have the privilege of picking the ideal time to cut between people, they just have to react to what's happening. Hence why it might seem less smooth than editing it afterwards.
