He is hands down one of the most talented most underappreciated writers in the entire business! He is hilarious and he can write strong compelling emotional drama too. ands he is literally the only reason i saw "fighting with my family" And holy shit that movie sounds amazing! A sort of like "Best in Show" or "Documentary Now" about Dave Prowse. lmao id love that!

Mr Howard, you are the best interviewer that I have ever experienced. There is a fullness, and an honesty to you that is contagious and sets truth at ease. I sincerely adore, and am deeply touched by, your ease with the human experience, and your acceptance and humour that facilitate these oral autobiographies. I'm 5'8 and there's definitely an advantage to being taller. It's psychological of course because it's not like taller people are "better" but we just have this ingrained human mindset that to be at the top is best, to look up to someone is to admire them and a leader is always above everyone else. I was in a cafe the other day and 2 young guys and a girl walked in, all no less than 6'3 - 6'4, and they just towered over me like giants. I was kind of envious because I knew that life is probably a bit easier for them simply because of their genes and DNA and they didn't really have to do anything to get that advantage, a bit like the Kardashians really.

The bit about David Prowse not knowing it wasn't his voice makes no sense. First of all the line, "No... I am your father" is from Empire Strikes Back. If this were true he certainly would have made the realization while watching Star Wars, not the sequel. Secondly, he never recorded any ADR for the film. Did he really think they were going to use the muffled sound of his voice through the helmet that they recorded on set? Ridiculous. The one bit that is true is that they didn't tell him that the line was "No... I am your father" because that was a secret. He said, "No... Obi-Wan killed your father." Only George Lucas, Irvin Kershner and Mark Hammill knew what it was going to be in the final edit. They told Mark on set so that his reaction would be appropriate to the real revelation. Dave Prowse was upset that they didn't tell him because he would have done something different. I personally don't know what he could have done differently to change how that line was delivered on set. The reason they didn't tell him is that it didn't matter, his actions for the fake line fit the delivery of the real line so why would they tell him? That's my understanding of the situation.

I once went to a gig which was pretty empty (he's a fairly famous folk rock singer but less famous for his metal band which we were seeing), there was at most 50 people and the lead decides to stage dive. I'm 5 foot nothing. I was at the front and nearly dropped him. At 5 seconds in I just stepped aside knowing I was more a hinderance than help in that situation.

If someone asks you a question and you have a perfect joke already written for it why would you not say it. Most comedians reuse their jokes at some point and especially on talk shows because they're playing to a mostly a new audience anyway.

Well yes and no, if you know fans are gona be following you then the idea is to mix it up at least that's what I'd do. In the era of the internet people see all your interviews in one go so I wouldn't really be rehearsing jokes too much.
