this film was beautifully shot. the scenery, settings and camera framework is amazing

Fired up BBC2 and caught the start of Peanut Butter Falcon, wow when you finish watching a film and feel better for watching it, that's an excellent thing. A high quality film, very well shot and the story draws you in, you believe it. Shia has a reputation similar to Miley Cyrus, disliked 'just because'. His acting is high quality and so is everyone else's, the cast fits perfectly, bravo.

Obviously zack was great but Shia LaBeouf was incredible and subtle in this film.

Shia laBeouf has actually done some interesting art in the contemporary art scene, while Transformer's fans have labeled him just crazy. I cannot say I have enjoyed his films, but maybe this would be an exception.

He’s an artist, simple as that. A good one too. Is he annoying, what good artist isn’t. Their personal life is beside the point completely.

This film had all the right moves, but something was missing. I actually didn't think much of it. Many gave it 4 or 5 stars, which for me is reserved for films like the Shawshank Redemption. This is not a film on par with that.
@tomhumphreys1666 Жыл бұрын
Just finished watching it (finally) and totally, totally agree. Felt it jumped from familiar narrative beat to familiar narrative beat, asking for emotional response from the audience but without having given any depth, edge or fresh angles to warrant it. Many scenes 'looked' the part, but 'felt' totally empty, right?

...Nah. It's a lovely, sweet, nice film, with a great soundtrack and fantastic cinematography, but it's really let down by plot contrivances and uneven mood- plus a cop-out ending. It was a joy to watch, but could have been so much better.

Kermode. Up your game. Just watched this and shocked to hear how much you like this. The plot is frustratingly predictable and the characters all rather two dimensional. The locations are nice, but after a series like True Detective (set in similar landscape), nice doesn't cut it. The film felt like it should have been so much more, but I was left with a sense the script had really let the film down.
@alm59664 жыл бұрын

@SwazersC3 жыл бұрын
Thank God your opinon is in the minority, Oliver. The film is all about love & finding redemption, a new purpose. The film touched my heart & maybe you should let your guard down. The cycnical world we live in has disconnected us from the human emotions we all need & crave. Our true purpose as beings of light, is that we can lift others up . By doing so we can save ourselves in the process.
@oliverdevine21813 жыл бұрын
@@SwazersC I'll cop to it being a bit of an arrogant comment. I think I remember that my real trouble with the film was that I didn't believe in any of the characters so I had no emotional connection
