I went camping with my girlfriend up at the Kern river back in 1969. My home town is Santa Barbara, Ca. I believe we took my 1958 Chevy Apache pickup. At that time the river was really screaming fast rapids! The Forest Service had signs up that displayed the number of deaths to date of people that failed to give that river the respect it deserves. The forest service was stocking the river with nice little trout! Great trip that I still remember 😊

This is my favorite channel. I love how you show the whole adventure, not just the ride, but the towns, lodging, food, etc. It’s all part of the adventure. I have never wanted a touring bike until I found your channel a few days ago. Now I’m dreaming of Road Glides. 😀

Both my son and I ride . My son rides a nice Yamaha R1 and I ride the Harley Davidson Road Glide Ultra. This camping trip you both just did made me think that something like that would be great for my son and I to experience . I appreciate the kick back no fuss enjoy a bike trip attitude you both have . I subscribed and am looking forward to seeing more of your videos. I wish you both a safe and fun filled adventure where ever your wheels take you . Thanks for sharing Pete ( Big Mex Detects) ...

Another SUPERB Vlog gentlemen!!!! I totally enjoyed this one, especially with the camping experience. My riding buddy and I camped and hotel'd it all the way to Sturgis, SD, and back to Washington state in 2018. We crank out about 10,000+ miles every year. You two are the real deal! For those of you that wish you could do it, just make time and do it before life swats you down. You will regret not doing it on two wheels. Cheers!

That road heading south down from Walker Basin to highway 58 towards Tehachapi / Bakersfield, is a really twisty turny slow going road, for the amount of miles traveled. A real time eater. The railroad "loop" near Keene is another interesting sight.

Blessed?? It is what it is, but you are right, we get to ride all year round, our scenery is as good as it gets 90% of the time and people you meet along the rode are nice people. However, that part is the same everywhere else except the dang weather. We do not have weather but a few days a year. The rest of the world suffers that problem.
