Kero Kero Bonito has been consistently making some of the most lyrically meaningful yet beautifully simplistic music out there for years now, but they keep surprising me. Wow, this song said a lot.
@knosis.mercury2 жыл бұрын
There's literally NOTHING simplistic abt their musical composition.. its actually way advanced, & complex.. Anyways.. the reason ((YOU'RE)) perceiving it as being "simplistic",, is because of the type of instruments that they're using,, which are utterly unconventional, & are used on more "youth oriented" media, like video games & animated content.. This is why when ((YOU)) personally hear certain instruments & uncommon compositions in kkb's music, (your) only association or point of reference from ur perspective, are video games, & animated series.. as in, your brain's conflating kkb's musical prowess, w your naive & uninforned understanding of musical composition.. In other words, you're 100% incorrect in your uninformed assessment / opinion regarding their music being "simplistic".. which it one thousand percent isn't even remotely..
@Tolyuhh2 жыл бұрын
@@knosis.mercury Was just talking about the lyrics, not the composition.
@knosis.mercury2 жыл бұрын
@@Tolyuhh mmk, since u wanna change the goal post.. besides a few phrases in a couple a songs from their 1st album,, there's legit nothing "simplistic" abt any of the lyrics in 99.9% of their songs..
@Tolyuhh2 жыл бұрын
@@knosis.mercury Why are you so determined to see this as a critique? It's impressive and highly effective songwriting. Complex ≠ good.
@knosis.mercury2 жыл бұрын
@@Tolyuhh & look.. there's nothing personal abt my correcting ur views & or "phrases" in how u describe kkb.. The issue, is that virtually all fans of kkb, are legit incapable of accurately & or properly describing the absolute genuis that is kkb.. Like fr,, the most kkb fans ever say is shit like.. kkb's "fun pop music".. or other dumb shit, like kkb is "such a vibe".. or kkb is "happy kids music".. or constantly associating their entire body of extensive work, to "Flamingo" off their 1st album.. Or they'll say dumb shit like, kkb's "so simplistic".. Like ik you guys all mean well,, but its like legit so insulting to Sarah, Jaime & Gus,, that all the literal EFFORT & PASSION that they've put into their ridiculously memorizing music / art,, is deadass described by 99.9% of their fan base, w the literal & basic asf phrases that i used above.. Which tbh, is a fkn travesty that sm of u mfs are incapable of describing kkb's music adequately..

Everybody's talking about what video game this sounds like Nobody's talking about the message of this song, which is that governments keep their people distracted with culture wars to keep them from noticing that their governments are the true oppressors This beat is what a mashup of Street Fighter II and Donkey Kong Country would sound like, by the way
