@@rovaljax phaleg is int a fight about gear .its about knowing her fight. Ive seen people beat her with the wepon you get at the start of the game.shes good to judge your skill with not gear. Solo extreme hard hard persona is a good way of checking if your gear up to par.

Still rocking the Atlas EX weapon! I have to thank you for not only reminding me that Vampiric Strike was on the Atlas EX gunblade, but also for introducing me to Seagleam. I might not be doing the most damage, but with Seagleam, Lucent Adversity, and Vampiric Strike, I can just PA my way through most attacks (so satisfying with Strike Gust Type-0). Gonna be rocking this thing for as long as possible.

With the way the augment system works I just have no drive to go balls deep on optimizing a weapon in the first place, let alone doing that and then putting in all the work for these top tier weapons. I do appreciate the breakdown though, it's not nearly as bad as something like Warframe but there is so much nuance in this game that has precious little by way of guidance.

I like Atlas EX the most for the sole reason of how easy and cheap is to affix it thanks to the 4 S grade augments. You just need another 4 weapons with dope augment factors (like Ray series, Orb series, Basilisk series), most of those are easy to get nowadays.

let's not forget, both the atlas and trailblazer key material, i.e eternistone and founder's amphitrite can be easily obtained through titles. 2 Eternistones through leveling a Val weapon to 35 and last story of ep 5 called A void Persona, the Masked Incarnates, 3 amphitrite, 2 when you defeat persona 12 man and 4 man after 10 and 50 times (both titles stack), and 1 when you reach 700 titles. Unfortunately if people missed the key rivalate through mission pass they must obtain it through a title after collecting 800 titles. Edit: one thing to add, the Key rivalate has a super low drop rate from mother omnipotent, the solo trigger and mother creator, the 12 man trigger (both loot tables are shared), the Omega Luther 12 man and 4 man, UH persona (when we get it), Zig's Sage crest exchange shop (when we get it, you need 900 as it is limited), and a new limited time quest in JP called the cosmic calamity, i.e space magatsu at XH and UH Source: visiphone JP

I'm sitting on my novel katana (planning to make rivalate) but since steel / stil? / cras? weapons will come out soon, I guess ill stick to trailblazer instead since i already transition to phantom katana from braver. I guess trailblazer fits my playstyle since i like bursting PA's a lot, this helps a lot !

To build on this yeup you get 1 guaranteed per S Rank of solo UH PD but he also has a chance to drop 1 as well so you have the potential of 2 per run. As for mining base VR you have the potential of 7 Ult boosters max per run if you score an S rank however that isn't guaranteed you can get 0 even with an S rank.

You can also get ultimate boosters for 10 ex cubes each iirc. Therefore, you can spend 500 ex cubes for all the ultimate boosters, making that part a little easier if you have an excessive amount of ex cubes, which isn’t hard if you play often! Edit: assuming you have not a single ultimate booster

The next tier of weapons are the Stil series, the thing that sucks about that though is that it needs so much of those Lumin Fragments (around 2000 IIRC). Also note that those same fragments are what you will need to upgrade the potentials of AtlasEX, Trailbalazer, and Rivalate; and to make matters worse you need them for the Cras weapons as well. Adding even more to that is that Divide Quests are the only reliable way to farm the fragments. So choosing the right weapon now would make your life easier when the Divide farming starts.

@@ReisSns They recently released a new 15* weapon, the fluxio series. You get it from a title you get on the latest challenge mode in JP. it has S1 S4 and S5, and the potential gives, at level 3, 13% power, with a +8% as well as 100pp and 20% damage reduction for 20 seconds, provided you deal 1.5m damage. The buff resets when you deal 1.5m damage again, so you can have 100% uptime in theory.

With the right S grade augments the Atlas EX with the updated potential can pretty much match Rivalate in raw damage. The following pretty much matches my Rivalate rod (with updated potential) in damage outside of crit. My Atlas EX Rod S1 Augment Will S2 Agressive Will S3 Aggressive Will S4 Escalating Pursuit And +140 tech My Rivalate Rod: S4 Escalating Pursuit S5 Skillful Adept Will and +230 tech. Atlas seems weak in comparison, but it should not be underestimated.

Affixing nowadays is quite cheap (if you use grace caps instead of grand) I just affixed my lib gs which has 205 mel pwr 17pp for about 27m which has: Db2(didn't get lucky with orb..)Might VI, Astral Soul, Mana Reverie and Phrase Decay but if you were to use persona rev instead of mana rev you'd save 12,5m which would cost 15m only to make a weapon with 195 mel pwr 13pp

For me I still stick with my Croseus weapons, and been getting their copies from the collection folder to get it to +35 xD I've been thinking a lot about making Atlas EX weapon and as you mention it is not really that good after you get to the higher content, which is the reason I still using my Croseus weapons.

Atlas has S4 slot which is good and has iron will potential, useful in Ultra Hard. Trailblazer is great for PP battery even just to get your PP back and switch. Rivalate is really good, most S5 potentials are really good

This is (partly) true. It depends on class, as some classes don't benefit as much compared to others (for example, Bouncer). However, I certainly agree that the Atlas EX *Plus* with a specific set of affixes (the word "Plus" denoting its redux potential) is definitely an endgame weapon. The damage is fantastic on top of the utility it offers.. But again, it varies depending on class. I have all three of the aforementioned series in Keroppi's video here and will close by saying that you can't actually go wrong with any of these three... as long as you intend to fine-tune them.

As always, a great video. I guess you should also add the Rivelate the special S5 slot wich is absurd for some classes. Atm i'm farming for the Rivelate Bow so i can have the S5 for the free Banishing Arrow plus S4 from Val Victo or Val Alz. Also i have a question wich, so far, i was not able to find consistent information: the S5 factor from the Rivalete Bow is good ? I'm only have plans atm to farm for the Cros rod for my FO/PH, wich makes the Rivelate Bow a wepon wich i'll be using for a long time.

You should go for the gunblade first, the S5 from the gunblade is really good, make a gunblade, take the S5 and then turn the gunblade on a bow.

When I 1st started I had a weapon for each element (I play force/tecker) and the I found out that theres an augment out there or a skill that just overrides the weapon element with the element that you are using....I felt so dumb lol I like switching weapons to use skills that match the weakness of whatever I'm fighting but that's my quirk dont think anyone else is doing that

Ok introductary video and appreciate the effort of explaining the weapon potentials. However you missed one crucial part about Ep5 and 6 weapon system: S abilities. You cant simply compare weapons based on their raw atk and weapon pots like pre ep5 weapons. Rivalate weapons ain't far off on the DPS chart due to missing S1 to S3 SSA slot. that's the main reason why it has 23% dmg boost based on already highest base stat. S1 to S3 can give up to 4%+4%+5% (nearly unconditional damage) dmg boost. Main reason choosing rivalate is for its extra 20% critical and S5 slot(which gives many important abilities.). Also thats the reason why picking Atlas over trailblazer. Players should pick their weapons based on the needs of S4 and S5, as well as extra utilities like weapon pots. Damage wise, all three proper affixed weapons are very close. p.s. Luther does not drop Ultimate booster.

There are only 2 choices: either easy to get Novel set (insanely tanky, but almost no PP) or suffer through making a Trailblazer units. Ofze is kinda behind ult-boosters "wall", so it's the last choice. Especially for solo players.

I spent 4 mill on augments for my 7 slot rivalate to get a 160atk 150hp an 27pp 3 mill for grand spirit an the rest on a wep from the shop to get the stats i wanted an i had a bunch of augment transfer passes an used 50 aug transfer passes for my 7 slot ...just an idea if your not super rich but have a buch of class excubes

Rivalate all the way!. Can I ask a question on units? I got given a recipe for 6 slot 200 attack, 12 pp recipe and 50 health. Problem is one of the augments is the - 20 defense stats from the trailblazer SAF. I have made the back as mentioned above but concerned if I make arms and legs then the - 60 def will make be a glass cannon. May I ask you opinion on this? BTW, I am on super tight budget so ex tír di soul is off limits!

Yeah, don’t - defense. You can offset it with Astral/Ex souls or glare but you definitely don’t want to go into minus figures on units in UH

@@richiep3520 you can’t have 2 souls. Last I checked 7 slot Ex alles was about 700k. You need 3 to guarantee 100%. It’s all well and good having 200 atk but if your dead through not having decent defense or hp your dps is 0. 170atk with defense and hp is much more preferable.

@@Martin52863 it is more expensive for 6 slots for me as not many go above 6 slot for affixing. I think I seen it for 10 million yesterday as probably more in demand on 6s. I am hoping I am wrong. But sure I'll keep my back piece as is, make arms with some defense and balance out the legs. I am a ranger so I do keep out of danger mostly but noses like PD l.. There is no where to run and hide!! Where would u farm that soul by chance?

I would argue that Trailblazer is a better wand for etoile (of those available at the moment). The potential of Atlas Ex is meaningless on Etoile, making the whole series pretty irrelevant for the class. Wand is a real PP guzzler, so having a Trailblazer's potential would help mitigate that.

I wouldn't waste "good" augments on Millionaire (or the other collection folder) weapons, unless they're S-abilities which you plan to transfer later. Otherwise you're forced to use expensive items (transfer passes or more expensive non-S augments) to upgrade later. If you're going all-out on augments, it's better to select a weapon with an upgrade path including Novel and Atlas (without the EX). Be careful to use a weapon that you can upgrade to +35 though (i.e. dropped, not from the rising weapon badge shop).

@@studiesinflux1304 I havent actually heard one good argument as to why 35 is necessary unless someone is going for a specific guaranteed augment in that weapon. Atk Pwr Meta is a red hearing in pso2. People chase it and when they die all the time it's up to me to Moon them. The 15% from Millionaire is plenty, on top of all its other benefits. And NA people give Mark/Ex Alles/Exceed for 100k if not less all the time. The whole point is that this way is inexpensive. It costs 5 passes for 4 slots which is 1 level up. When you run 3 scion mains and you want to use all 3 weapons then this is the zero headache way to go. The only reason to talk to Zig is for his camos. I'm too busy playing the game to stress that. Of course to each his own, I have a cousin who likes that stuff.

My note about the +35 was only about if you want to have Zig upgrade the weapon, because he won't upgrade, for example, an Atlas +30 into an Atlas EX +30 (unless that "target +35" is a bad translation). Perhaps I misunderstood "Good augment"? It seems like you meant "Good" as in bang-for-buck for your play style (in which case I agree - if it's budget augments than go nuts with any weapon). I thought you meant "Good" as in costs so much that you should only chase it if you just want that thing regardless of what it will do to your ability to play/enjoy game. That's why I mentioned it would be a bad idea to use a super expensive augment on a weapon that you can't for example transform from Rifle to Jet Boots if you get tired of Rifle. Also have fun with the scion classes :) I haven't figured out Etoile, so you might as well give me the default Soaring Blades from the meseta weapon vendor NPC with the number of times I totally miss my combos!

There is a huge expanse of happy medium where you can play with great success 99.9% of the game with no problem just using Folder Weapons and Rising Badge Armor and it just feels like alot of the global server community just is pretending that isnt the case. But anyway yeah you're right about Etoile and the Scions in general. They're like minigames unto themselves. BlacktoBasics videos are a godsend.
