This man has been through some tough emotional stuff. I'm so glad I've got to meet him and the rest of the band multiple times, shared stories and gave them demos of my music. I've been a Korn fan since 1995 when I first heard "Shoots And Ladders" on the radio when and about 2 weeks later I saw their music video for "Blind" on MTV late at night when my parents were out at the bar, and vividly remember jumping on the couch and breaking a table lamp - my parents came home about 10 minutes later and my stepdad beat the shit out me. It was another beating I took when he was drunk. Life experiences like this are the main reason why Korn is my all time favorite band because Jon sings about abuse and BS I've been through, I was 12 years old when I discovered them on my own, got to meet them at their Korn Kampaign '98 when they released' Follow The Leader'. And multiple times afterwards. This band is my Beatles.

The album, see you on the other side saved my life back in 2012. I stayed in my room and played that album front to back for weeks!

Just happened to run across this interview and gotta say jon is such an inspiration for me. My husband wz killed in april 2018 n my art saved me as well. Getting lost in tht zone while ur heart is breaking is the best thing for the soul. The grieving sucks ass!! It hits ya in the weirdest times nd it just sucks ass! Its always there but we have zero choice but to learn to live with it all. Much love to Jon n his family

Loved seeing Jon just relaxing and answering questions at his own pace. Breaks my heart to know that I want to, and may never see him and the rest of KORN at a live show in my life. I've been a solid fan and still listen to them quite often still to this day, new shit, and the classic shit. Jon and I have alot in common when it comes to shitty backgrounds growing up, and trying to find our way in life. He's got 3 great kids, I and my girl can't have kids, "MY" darkness continues on with our attempts and heart-wrenching dissapointments. I've tried to get bands going, but got screwed in the end because I wanted more, and the rest wanted to make what people expected to hear, leaving me in the darkness. I was super fucking excited when HEAD came back to the band. At that point in my life, I thought to myself....he can do it, Why can't I? I found the love of my life, and try my best to make life whole. I've come to terms with not being able to see my favorite, and first rock/metal band live in concert, but still dream about it, and bow my head to those guys for still doing it, just as solid as the old days. I send my love from PEI, Canada, and wish KORN all the best in the future. Maybe someday this broken man will see his Idol s in concert.

It makes me kind of sad to see him getting older after Korn being my favorite band for last 17 years (fuck im getting old too...). Although happy that they are still making great music.
@iimwithstupid85955 жыл бұрын
Although I haven't liked them for nearly as long as you have, it still makes me sad to see him so old. But I'll always love him and Korn no matter what. I always joke with my mom, one of us will say "I didn't give him permission to grow up like that and he did it anyways" lmao

Still the greatest band I've ever seen live, there never will be another band like Korn go see them while they're around. JD is as honest as they come, everything he's saying is legit, there's no bullshit in this man - you can love him or hate him/his music but everyone should respect him.

I thank JD and the rest of Korn for everything they have done. Their music helped me through a lot of dark times in my life in recent years and if it weren't for them showing me that it's okay to open up and talk about the negative things, I probably wouldn't be here today. Through the negative comes the positive, and they taught me that through that first Korn record. Thank you, Korn.
