A short piece created for a friend's University project. Filmed entirely on Kerrera, an island just off of Scotland's west coast.

I was a wee boy of 10 yrs when my folks rented a holiday-let on the island way back in 1975. I never knew Scotland had places like this - and as a kid brought-up in Glasgow - I found that it had something magical that has stayed with me all these years. I am glad that it has stayed off the main tourist route & is still the same.It is a very beautiful & special place.

part of the reason I would love to live on an island - this guy lets the people talk and that is really nice.

Altho' author of 'I Am An Island' Tamsin Calides doesn't name the island, it's not too difficult to identify it as Kerrera. Her account of living on the island is enthralling but her description of her treatment by the island's locals isn't very welcoming or friendly.
