I’m always impressed when someone films themselves crossing a river. 3 crossings instead of 1! The work you put into this video was well worth it. Excellent video. BTW, the way out via Lochan Einaich is also very scenic. I used these 2 passes when doing the Cape Wrath Trail and recommend it. Far more beautiful than Glen Dessary and Glen Dessary isn’t bad.

I hope you find more routes like that one. Your videos are excellent and I really enjoy that the key focus of your videos is not necessarily, indeed rarely, about getting to the top for the sake of getting to the top. Yes, sometimes because it is a great campsite with views or on route after a scramble. However I like your approach to having an exploration of an area and this video does just that.

A bothy is probably what we call a 'bach' in New Zealand's North Island, or a 'crib' in our South Island - rustic accommodation in the countryside, or coast. DOC (government Department of Conservation) huts, however, are probably a closer comparison to a bothy. If you ever get to NZ, you'll really like hanging out in a DOC hut, if you like the bothy style of hiking accommodation.
@StripeyHatGuy Жыл бұрын

Though walking into a NZ hut without taking off outside footwear off, wandering round filming people sleeping, talking loudly while doing so and wandering off before asking said sleeper if they were ok being filmed won't get quite the warm reaction culturally he assumes he gets in Scotland.
