Good job on your first official podcast on your channel! The new tank is such a fun idea for leftovers. I’m so glad you’re considering doing more top down designs because I much prefer that construction because I like to try on as I go and being fairly short I can also get a better fit on my sweater.

Thank you Rhonda! I definitely have a few more top down ideas floating around in my head, and I totally see the appeal of being able to try on. Though a fun trick for "trying on" bottom up pieces - you can pin them to the outside of an existing similar sweater with locking stitch markers or safety pins to get an idea of what the fit will be like.

Hi Kerri! I'm watching from Ottawa, Canada. I absolutely love the top that you have on. The colour looks so good on you. The light pink baby knit is super cute. I don't have grandkids yet but definitely one that I will remember. Best Wishes from Margaret (My Wonderful Knitting Life podcast).

Thank you - it's one of my favorites to wear, and the baby knits have been really rewarding to make!

Hi Kerri, So fun to find your first podcast - that tank pattern is amazing - love the construction and potential - and the integrated I-cord and slip stitch details are delicious!

Thanks so much and glad to have you here! The integrated i-cord provides a really satisfying result with nice structure at the edges.

Love the Parsed Tank. This will make a great vest for over a t-shirt or to wear on its own. Enjoyed your 1st podcast.🥰

Thank you for watching! I agree - it works well both as a vest or on its own. I think it would also be very cute cropped to wear over a dress!

Darlene joining in from Nova Scotia, Canada. Congratulations on your first podcast. You did great and I love all your projects. I love your idea of stashdive and revive. I’m taking part in Crazy Sock Lady’s summer sock camp make-along and my goal was to use yarn in my stash long enough along with using up scraps. No matter what you make, you rarely use it all up. I love the idea of your tank top that can use four colors for the sections. Great podcast and I look forward to more of them.
@kerriblumer2 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for watching! Love that you are also working on using stash and scrap yarns - it's so hard to make your way through everything. I definitely have more sock yarn scraps to work through too!

Hello Kerri, writing from France, really liked your podcast and subscribed. Tank is lovely and looks easy to knit. Little girl dress is sweet and would also be great on a doll. Looking forward to doing that. Would love to have a review of your "old" knits, those you still have and wear and all the others if you have pictures. Perhaps not a whole episode, just a little insert. Thank you for being on KZbin.

Thanks for watching - and what a great idea to do a review of older knits! I still have most of the things I've made and wear a lot of them, though definitely I wear some a lot more than others as my style has changed over time.

Hello Kerri! I am a transplanted Ohioan now living in Tucson Arizona. I really liked your first podcast and your designs are very inspirational. I want to try making the tank when it becomes available as a pattern. I am intrigued with your segment about stash dive and revive. I think that it will become my favorite part of your. Podcast. Good luck.

Thank you so much! I am actually a transplanted Missourian living in Ohio, but I love it here :) I think stash dive & revive is going to be very motivating for me - I may not have something every time but it's definitely going to be a recurring theme as I truly want to focus on using the things I have for a good portion of my projects, including finishing wips & repairing things that have started to wear through!

Congratulation on your new adventure. I actually purchased your "Plinth Tee" awhile ago and do plan to knit one day soon. The tutorial that is with the pattern made it look very easy to knit. Those little ones are so adorable too. Looking forward to the tank top too.

Thank you for watching! Plinth Tee is such a fun knit, I really want to make another that's just like a plain tee without the center front and center back detail.

Hi Kerri - looking forward to the email about the pattern for the vest/tank. Love the design - can you consider a version with short sleeves to make it a t shirt. One of my fave patterns is a v & scoop t - very flexible. The little Plinth too for your daughter is so sweet - I'd buy a nice mohair teddy bear to "wear it"after she's grown out of it - great heirloom idea ❤
@kerriblumer2 ай бұрын
I've definitely thought about a tee, it would be a bit of a different pattern to ensure a good fit through the shoulders. I think if I do I might make a DK weight (or fingering held double) and options for both short + long sleeves!

Welcome to the podcast world! I too just started a knitting podcast (having podcasted on other topics since 2010). I'm really impressed with you podcasting with a toddler! Nice content and I love the sweater you're wearing!

Oh I will have to check out your podcast! The only reason I can podcast with a toddler is because I work full time so she's in daycare - I'm planning to film episodes on days that I'm working from home in the time between daycare drop and starting work!

Hi Karri, I have loved to watch knitting podcast. I am in Portland, Oregon and I am a new knitter and have been advised to start doing seamed garments. I will continue watching your podcast
@kerriblumer2 ай бұрын
Welcome to knitting! Seamed garments provide such nice structure, and can be a little simpler to knit because you are only working one piece at a time vs. shaping the entire sweater at once. It's so satisfying being able to wear something you make!

I really like the idea of committing to finishing a WIP, or just frogging it. If I could do one a month, how many years would it take??
@kerriblumer2 ай бұрын
It would take me a while but I'd still get through so much - and then you have to consider momentum, once you get going you might start working through things faster than one a month!

Yes, we do :) Lots of countries have a fashion or garment industry since we all need clothes! I'm sure you've heard of New York fashion week which is always one of the biggest fashion week showcases. What might be surprising to some is that there are lots of other cities in the US outside of NYC with fashion retail brand headquarters, garment manufacturing, or both!
